Even though we are lifelong residents of New Jersey, my husband and I had never before visited Atlantic Highlands. We decided to stay at the Blue Bay Inn there at the New Year to start 2010 off on the right foot at a place an easy drive from home. We found the Blue Bay Inn to be an enchanting place to stay in a charming Sandy Hook bayside town. It has cozy rooms, each unique in decor. It reminded us of Hotel Wein & Design in Vienna, a small hotel that was delightfully redesigned for contemporary, sophisticated guests.
Bob Hilton, the congenial general manager, is always available to help guests with their needs. He knows the area very well and could almost read our minds to help us select activities to match our tastes.
There is no need to go far for tasty, zesty food, served up in style at the Copper Canyon restaurant which is on site. A healthy, abundant breakfast is available each day for guests. We also enjoyed a light lunch at the atmospheric Sissy's, right at the marina.
Go to Blue Bay Inn to refresh, relax, unwind, just a Seastreak ferry boat ride from Manhattan!More
