“Great view, Good Food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 8, 2013

I would agree with other reviewers - the food is good, but the view is great. There was a double rainbow arcing into the water while we were there, which was just spectacular! This is definitely a local place, but the service was excellent. Glad to see that this place weathered the storm.

“Enjoy sea breezes and ocean-views over drinks and good food ranging from burgers to Grouper”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 25, 2013 via mobile

Picture a pleasant summer day with you and friend(s) lounging outdoors on a 2nd floor deck enjoying the view of Sandy Hook and the ocean beyond. The menu is filled with good food choices, ranging from burgers to fresh fish dishes. Service is pleasant and attentive. This is a casual 15-minute drive north of Red Bank through a very scenic countryside. Tab $25 to $40 depending on menu choices. Try it and you will enjoy it.

“Great location and service..not so great food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 11, 2013 via mobile

Ever since Superstorm Sandy I have been craving good fish and chips. My favorite was served at Shoal Harbor in Belford but Sandy destroyed it. I tried On The Deck today and the fish and chips disappointed. It was very expensive, $15 and the portion was small. There were 2 pieces of fish and fries..no slaw. It was bland and didn't stay crispy. They did have malt vinegar but it didn't help. My husband had fish tacos and said it was alright. Probably wouldn't go back. The deck was nice overlooking the bay and there was a nice bar..

“Great spot for a drink with a view”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 10, 2013

Terrific deck, friendly waitstaff and if you are looking for fried seafood, this spot is for you. The restaurant is on the second level with a big deck looking out on the harbor and Sandy Hook.
