“Very nice & clean room!”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

Had a room on the 21st floor of the newer tower, had a nice view. The room was very spacious and the bathroom was amazing. I loved all the shops and restaurants in the hotel. They even have a cooking school! The pool is very nice, many hot tubs only thing is that it closes at 6 which is a huge bummer considering check in is at 4. My mother woke up early to go to the pool and there was free water aerobics. All in all, you can't beat the off season rates for how clean and nice this hotel is!

This is not a hotel it is a resort.
Rooms are comfortable and clean. There is a food court for quick meals as well as fancy sit down restaurants. We have never been disappointed in our dinners at McCormick and Schmicks and the service is excellent.Sammy D's is also an excellent choice for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Can be pricey though.
This hotel is in the marina district which is an advantage as you do not get the riff raff from the boardwalk drifting through your hotel. The boardwalk itself is a short jitney ride away. The jitney stops right at the hotel and will drop you off at the casino of your choice at the boardwalk. It will also drop you at "The Walk" a shopping mecca of discounted brand luxury stores.
The centerpiece of this resort is "The Pool" which is like no pool you have ever seen. It is a tropical oasis where you feel like you are in the Caribbean and certainly not New Jersey. Poolside drinks and food are delicious and served promptly. There are several hot tubs adjacent to the pool area. The glass dome allows the sun to penetrate which accounts for the lush palm trees and flowers which grace the area. There is even an outdoor deck for sunning.
On the weekend the pool area becomes THE hot spot as it transforms into a vibrating night club.
Don't forget to pay a visit to the Red Door Spa across from the pool where you can indulge in a massage or facial and relax in a steam or sauna.
If you have time left for gambling the casino itself offers all of the usual table games and slots. I would like to see more of the newest slot games readily available on the floor. It can get crowded on the weekend but you can always find a free machine in whichever denomination you usually play.
All in all this is a fun, relaxing getaway resort which will really make you feel that you had a great vacation and rejuvenate for your return to reality.

Room Tip: the higher you go the better the view You can choose a bay, harbor or boardwalk view Roons are mor...

I enjoyed my stay, very nice people and they were very accommodating. A lot of walking though but fun. I enjoyed the dining in the hotel and really enjoyed the pool after dark. It was pricy but what you would expect from a casino. I will go back in the future.

I love Harrah's. I've stayed here a bunch of times, most recently in March 2013 for a 3-day weekend (Thurs Night-Sunday). We got 2 comped nights despite my wife and I only being minimum bet gamblers at the lowest limit tables available, nor do we play any slots. Anyway, the hotel rooms are very nice, even in the lesser towers. I think we were in the oldest tower, but we had a lovely northeast-facing view of the bay and Ocean.

On Friday, my wife and I decided to go to spend the day by the pool, something we hadn't done on previous visits. We got down there around 10:30-11, only to find all the lounge chairs were taken. So we inquired about one of the day beds surrounding the pool. Well, THAT was the best decision we ever made. The day bed was $80, however it was $15 for the bed rental, and $65 in food and beverage minimum. Since my wife and I were there to relax, drink and eat lunch anyway, the $65 minimum was no problem (I think we doubled it). So for $15, we had an incredibly relaxing day right on the edge of the pool. Knowing now that on a weekday it's possible to get a daybed for $15, I don't think I would take a lounge chair even if it was open.

We ate LATE night at Bill's Burger bar, and the food was delicious for the greasy burger-fries type joint that it is. Sammy D's cafe, their casual option, was also pretty good.

My only gripe with Harrah's is it's location. No where near the Boardwalk and a long weird/sketchy walk to the next 2 nearest Casinos. My wife and I made that walk our first night there to catch a Springsteen cover band at Golden Nugget, it wasn't bad, just weird, especially since you basically enter through the parking garage of Golden Nugget.

We had a very nice room in the tower on the 42nd floor. Large, clean, and comfortable. Resented the nickel, dime, you atmosphere. Check in early $12.00. Wifi $13.00 per day. Parking $5.00. We were there to gamble but once we entered the casino we were nearly sick from the cigarette smoke and the chemical used to overcome it combination. Hard to believe that in this day and age they would allow smoking anywhere in the building. All of the casinos allow smoking in designated areas. Harrahs hotel/casino is not on the boardwalk but a few miles away. A $2.25 bus ride one way or if a total rewards member free via the casino bus. Total rewards is a point system based on your spending. We had a car so drove to the boardwalk where it is $5.00 per day to park in another casino such as Showboat, Bally, or Resorts. We chose Resorts to spend our gambling dollars as they do a much better job containing the cigarette smoke. It wasn't anywhere near as bad as Harrah's and Trump's casinos. If we were to go again we would probably book at Resorts, Bally, Trump, as they are on the boardwalk. The boardwalk was nice and you can walk for a couple of miles on it with lots of little shops and restaurants. This isn't like Vegas. Food and drink is expensive! A dinner will set you back a minimum of $35.00 and their buffets at least $22.00

My first visit @ a casino, interesting atmosphere. The hotel is withing the casino which also houses many stores, restaurants, and a pool area that also has a nightlife lounge. The room was nice and clean with marble tiles & counters. Bed was VERY comfortable. Linens has a few small holes in them but felt nice. Pool area is VERY nice, very warm, light and lavish with cabanas and a bar. The stores and restaurants are very pricey. A burger, fries, and drink are about $20 @ Bill's and the burger was gristly. There is no breakfast included with the room. You have to buy all meals and drinks. Sodas are $2.00 a can in machines. I think the view from the room was very pretty and the boardwalk was great. At least 3 types of fowl to see and many other types of wildlife to see. Beaches are not as nice as Myrtle Beach for example, but would be nice in the summer. Lots of entertainment nearby and shuttles to take you there.I would stay there again.

Room Tip: You can pick a harbor or bay view.

We stayed at Harrah's for two nights and found it to be a good experience overall. Rooms were clean and well-kept, comfortable bed, and clean bathroom. We had a beautiful view from the Waterfront Towers.

Since we were focused more on a relaxing type of trip, we didn't leave Harrah's once during our stay and found that Harrah's really had everything we needed. We took advantage of the pool and dining options, played some table games, and had some drinks.

My only gripe was the amount of noise we had in our room. The cleaning staff (while they do a wonderful job!!) could get pretty loud during the day and we could hear them talking very loudly down the hall early in the morning, waking us up. The people in the neighboring room were also very loud, and their comings and goings would wake us up during the night. It didn't help that we had an adjoining room, so that really didn't do anything to muffle the noise.

Bottom line, make sure your room isn't adjoined to your neighbors and you should be fine :)
