Let's face it, the goal of a casino hotel is to have the guests in the casino and not distract them with much else. In that respect, Caesars is typical. But it certainly isn't "best in class". To begin with, the place is huge and one is forever traipsing around to get from place to place. This isn't fun for anyone over 60. Most of the shops are sequestered on The Pier...again a real hike, and as a result the long passage ways in the hotel proper are with a few exceptions, devoid of shops (unlike the Tropicana which does a great job of integrating the shops in the hotel space). The food options are fairly pedestrian. Cafe Roma does a fairly boring breakfast; the high end restaurants are shockingly overpriced. To be even-handed, the rooms in the Centurion Tower were fine. The location on the boardwalk was ideal and we even won a few bucks in the casino. Tip: the valet managed to screw up our car the day we arrived and didn't mention it until check-out. Bottom line: a fairly forgettable experience.
