Garden Tower Room - very nice - small vanity, but drawers to put stuff so no problem - beautiful and plenty towels - very nice bed. Housekeeping very friendly and accomodating. Check-in was a breeze. Need room key to use elevator - so felt very secure even though dead bolt was broken. All employees seemed very friendly. Had both buffets -WWW and Caesars- basically the same - Caesars costs more (They were supposed to have Prime Rib, but not when we were there and Crablegs only cold). Buffets were mediocre - comparable to a Chain Steakhouse. Did walk over to the Claridge - it's not that far - did see some odd Characters over there. I don't normally smoke, but like to smoke while gambling - it's to bad, the smoking areas are small and crowded, while the no smoking areas are two thirds empty. Wait service at the slots seemed good at all three Casinos - WWW-Bally's-Caesars. One night we got wine in nice glasses at Bally's - next night only plastic cups. The seats at Ballys at the Slots are the worse, my husband got a terrible pain in his back right there in the middle where the back stops - even Claridge has higher seat backs. Slots seemed average - better than West Virginia - it seemed. If you gamble a little bit you get comped parking. The whole trip seemed very nice and much better that I expected from some other reviews.

Just came back from two nights spent at Bally's. I had stayed in the Garden tower in February and the room was very nice. This time our only choice was the Claridge Tower. I am not fussy about a room as long as it is clean. The room was very dusty. Looked like it had not be really cleaned for months. Couldn't see out the windows they were so dirty. The shower tiles were dirty. To add to this they were working on the outside of the building and from dawn to dusk there was the sound of drilling and without warning a scaffold with workers would pass by your window. You could hear people in the next room as if they were right in your room. The second night there was a group that kept me up all night with their laughing and yelling. You needed to use your room key and it wouldn't work in the elevators. (This was everyone's keys) So you'd have to move from elevator to elevator until you found one that was working. To add to this one morning they decided to change the carpeting in the elevators. I am responsible for deciding where to book hotels for group tours and would not choose Ballys.

We traveled to Atlantic City, NJ and stayed at Bally's. We had a wonderful time. We had a spectacular corner room with a large window in the living room and a large window in the bathroom with views of the ocean. Lucky for us the sun was shining and what a view!! I didn't want to leave.
The shower was good, not perfect but sufficient, the water pressure wasn't what I am used to but it got the job done.
The bed was wonderful, very comfortable and clean with many pillows.
The location of the hotel/casino is great, seems to be about in the center of the boardwalk with many shops and casinos close by. The Caesars mall is right across the way, just a hop and a skip from the front door of Bally's.
I found the casino very easy to get around in. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Didn't have a real winning time, but that is to be expected when going to a casino, if you happen to win, it makes it even more enjoyable.
We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely return.

Let me start by saying that we have been to Vegas many times and wanted to see some different sights with the same ammenities so that is why we chose Atlantic City. We all know a trip to a casino town is going to cost you if you like to play. However you do not expect to pay for parking, use of their pool and fitness center,or internet service. They were all large fees. If you want to purchase a drink plan on spending an arm and leg for that too. A 4 oz bottle of water was $2.00 and coffee was $2.75 a cup! Alcohol, well lets just say you better stop at the bank before going. ATM use was a $5.00 fee. Our room was okay except the only window faced a brick wall. From 8:00 am until 5:00 there was constant banging from construction on that wall. The entire time we were there the same dirty dishes and glasses were strewn about the hallways with new additions daily.
One night we were at the Wild West Casino, which is part of their properties, we ordered a pizza with just mushrooms and peppers. After about 20 minutes the server came back and said they were out of toppings. We settled for the cheese only and anothere 20 minutes it arrived. Seriously, we couldn't tell the box from the pizza!
The casino was dirty. I don't think they ever cleaned the slot machines. Street dwellers were allowed to lay around the casino also.
If you plan on bringing snacks or anything else you should get them before you go. There are no safe stores to shop at. We had to back track about 30 miles.

We stayed on the top (21st) floor of the Claridge Tower for 3 nights. I actually asked to stay there in a renovated room, just to see what it was like; I've never stayed in an "original" room, and from what I've read onTA I'd doubt if I'd want to. The only thing that was bad about staying there was the LONG walk through the casinos and hallway to get to our room. The room itself was very nice--new carpet, bedding, and draperies, fresh paint, and new furniture, all in off-white and dark red. It was small, when you walked through the door you were in the room, no foyer like you usually see in a HET room, but nothing that any difference to our comfort. All the employees from the front desk clerk to the maids were polite and friendly, and the WWW buffet is still the best in AC. I'd definitely recommend a new Claridge room to anyone that's staying at Bally's--nothing fancy but clean and quiet.

I stayed with my parents at Bally's in the Clarige Tower. It is a step back in time. I understand Harrah's is slowly rennovating the Tower. The room we stayed in was 1237, non smoking 2 double beds, drafty windows that was so fithly on the outside and dusty on the inside. The floor lamps base was dusty as well. I took a magazine off the top of the TV armour and there was quite a bit of dust. Now it's time for the bathroom. Very small, decore was 1980's mauve counter with the clarige emblem on it. Tub tiles needed to either be cleaned or resealed. Sealing needed a touch up with paint. The sink if filled up takes about 7 mins to drain. The best part of the review is... The Ton Jon wall mounted Hair dryer (which look like it came out of 1960's at high power only has 15 watts. Took forever to dry hair. With that said, the room was a comp room. I think they are in the process of doing the outside of buidling because ropes were hanging down from the outside and workers would go by my window each day. They staff was great. Just be leary of the elevators. It seem that only one or two were working. My last night's stay, all the elevators had shut down. I had to take the service elevator to the 12th floor with as many guest that could fit in at a time. Again, I paided nothing. I hear Bally's rooms are much better and some of the rennovated rooms are nice and spacious. I prefer staying at Show Boat or Caesars definitely.
