Arrived the night before big storm, w/ reservation for deluxe tower ocean view room. No waiting for check-in with all the cancellations but were told 'your ocean view room' is not guaranteed. They managed to find one on 43rd floor, however, since hotel must have been 3/4 empty; security card access required for tower elevator. Needed someone to plug in nightstand lamp and it was virtually impossible to reach Front Desk, Housekeeping or Maintenance on phone. Ditto for restaurants. Room was spacious and view of Thursday's nor-easter over Atlantic coast filling those large windows was spectacular. Stains on carpet but decent beds. Two restaurants (advertising special-price dinners as well as regular menus) were closed, as were most other eateries. Had one dinner at Harry's, friendly waitstaff, delicious grilled salmon but long wait to get oysters and clams shucked. Depended on Johnny Rockets, which provides takeout. Also, walkways allow one to get to Caesars and the Pier Shoppes without going outdoors. All in all, found it understaffed and, while employees were pleasant, no signs of caring management whatsoever. Had fun; just leery about returning when Northeast is not snowed in.
