The setting: You are directly opposite the Tropicana Casino/Resort. You are also just half a block to the boardwalk. There is onsite parking at this property for $10/day. This is a motel and looks it, with a few cosmetic changes to the exterior and interior. The check-in was quick and efficient. There is no lobby here, just a small reception, as this is a motel. All the rooms here are built around the outdoor pool, and all are accessed from outdoor hallways.
The room: Ours had a queen size bed, which was soft and comfortable, but had wrinkled and stained sheets and bedding. I do not think the hotel presses the bedding after laundering it, and I do not think they are mindful of pretreating stains. The room had a small flat screen TV, a coffee maker, and a safe. The free Wi-Fi worked great in the room but requires a code from the front desk. The vanity was separated from the toilet and shower. The shower had decent water pressure but mold was growing on the ceiling because ventilation of the shower room is lacking. If the hotel had its cleaning staff disinfect the shower room ceiling after guests check out, the mold issue wouldn’t be occurring. The room had an in-wall A/C-heater which worked well. One oddity was the posted prices for nearly every item in the hotel room. Apparently, people must loot their rooms prior to checking out. Also, beware, you get a 15 minute grace period for the 11am check-out time. If you check out after 11:15am, you will be charged $20 for each 15 minute period.
All in all, we chose this hotel because we were overnighting on a Saturday night and all Atlantic City casino resorts gouge guests with overinflated prices on the weekends. We decided to spend our money on restaurants and entertainment, and save by staying at Tryp. If you are have a similar perspective, you won’t be disappointed.

We stayed there on our way home from Fl for an evening. It is right across the street form the Tropicana. and for the location (100 yrds from board walk) is reasonable price. The rooms are new and super clean and comfortable.

My boyfriend and I wanted a room to stay overnight for a short get away. I normally stay at the casino hotels but the price was a little expensive for such a short stay so I booked this place. When we finally got there the motel was so far away from everything that, that should have been our first clue. The neighborhood became very dangerous looking and so did the people. My boyfriend and I were approached several times for money from the homeless and ladies who were obviously selling themselves. The lobby upon entering was a nightmare. Immediately I regretted booking this place and my boyfriend was very unhappy also. I did ask what was the procedure to refund the room and could not. While we were checking in there was a woman whom was collecting money from a man she obviously had just sold herself to... she said "it was nice doing business with you", he handed her $100.00. The check in person sat there and could not look at us. I expressed my anger several times and at this point had no choice but to go into the room. The drug addicts that hang around the parking lot make you very nervous and they were in full force the day we were there. We went into the room and the room was nasty. Stains EVERYWHERE, hair on the bed, the wash cloths in the bathroom were dingy, blood on the sheets, the curtains had strange white stains on them. My boyfriend and I decided to leave so we had to cut our trip short and come back to NY despite all the money we spent so far. Please do not stay here! Book a much better hotel this one is terrible. The photos are a lie on the website.

Thank you for writing a review. I apologize your stay was anything less than completely satisfying. We do not tolerate illegal activity of any kind in our hotel or parking lot. We have a network of security cameras throughout our property monitored 24 hours a day. We had no reports of anything like what you were describing, and anyone conducting illegal business in our lobby, parking lot or rooms would be reported and legal authorities summoned. We are sorry we could not neet your expectations. Most guests love our clean rooms, comfortable beds and friendly help staff. Our location is definately a favorite only steps to the beach, boardwalk, Tropicana Casino, restaurants and shopping.

We were placed in a first floor room. I didn't asked to be changed because we were only staying for a few hours and I didn't want to disturb anyone under us when we left. The room was clean and fine. We were charged $10 cash to park, no big deal, but when we went down to the parking lot to park our car, we told with the attendant that we couldn't get blocked in we were leaving at 4AM, he was going to charge us $6 for the night. It would've been cheaper if we headed straight to the lot.

The one saving grace is that it is right next door to the Tropicana. We walked across the street to PF Changs. If you want the Trop but not their prices and you won't be going to bed until 4am, this is your place.

Well, none of us got any sleep that night. The noise from all over was unbearable. People screaming and yelling and banging on our door at 2am. UGH!

We were up at 345 to go to the airport but found out our flight was canceled at 5am. We turned around and went back to the room and at that point the hotel was quiet and we caught up on some sleep. We stayed until checkout and headed back to the airport.
I asked the desk attendant why they didn't have security walking around the hotel, he had no answer. Just shrugged his shoulders and said we were in AC. I am so happy I didn't pay for price for this hotel but will be complaining to Wyndham.

Room tip: Top floor might be away from the noise.

Thank you for writing a review. I apologize your stay was anything less than completely satisfying. I wish you would have contacted the front desk if someone knocked on your door at night. We would have addressed it immediately. Most guests love our clean comfortable rooms, friendly staff and convenient location. We are in the heart of the casino district only steps to the beach, boardwalk, Tropicana Casino, restaurants and shopping. We have a network of security cameras throughout our property monitored 24 hours a day in an effort to make our guests feel secure and safe. Our city is exciting and particularly on the weekends people on their way the boardwalk can be a bit noisy. You will find most weekdays are quieter.

We went down for a night specifically for my friend's birthday. We were all supposed to stay at this hotel but my friend and her husband went down a night before us only to find that the hotel had never "received" their reservation even though my friend had a physical confirmation from their actual website with the reservation details. So, they had to change hotels and I had reserved the room under a no cancellation policy ($15 savings via Expedia) so I didn't have much of a choice but to stay or lose my money. That sucked since we were all there to celebrate her birthday and part of that entails a few pre-game drinks in the room (this hotel also has a "NO VISITOR" policy which I didn't bother inquiring about -- we just met at my friend's new hotel). Anyway, I recommend calling the night before or a couple nights before to confirm your reservation which I did and all was fine. Also book via Expedia since apparently this error isn't the first time this has happened while booking via the TRYP site.

I immediately checked the sheets, towels and bathroom when we arrived and all was clean and fine plus the location is right next to the Trop. Honestly people complaining about the $10 parking are obnoxious. You want your parking included go stay at The Trop or Caesars or Borgata or somewhere thats gonna be far over $250+ per night. It's literally on the same block as the hotel.

It was super loud in the morning, I could hear the house keepers screaming at each other from different levels (mind you I'm from NYC so for me to say it's loud, IT'S LOUD). But the bed was soft and curtains were great for blacking out the room. Just wish the staff communicated in a quieter way so I could of enjoyed the bed longer.

Bottom line, the room was fine for one night and you really can't beat the price. If you've never been to AC and aren't used to sketchy people I would recommend staying in one of the casinos since it can be shady at night walking back to the hotel or walking on the streets at all. Otherwise this place totally suffices.
