Ok, my wife booked this hotel on a travel website and was able to get a very reasonable deal for a 1 night stay as a group of couples was going to the Tropicana. The location couldn't have been any better: a half block from the boardwalk and a half block across the street from the Tropicana, our destination. I was slightly concerned when we arrived and found the hotel to be exterior door rooms, meaning that you entered the rooms directly from outside, no interior hallways. I was also concerned about parking, which there didn't appear to be much of. Thankfully we were able to park literally around the corner of the building with no problem. My wife had requested a non-smoking room due to my bad allergies and asthma, but upon check in was given a smoking room. When my wife insisted we requested and needed the non-smoking room, their first response was to simply give back our money. Thankfully my wife managed to get them to reconsider and we got the non-smoking room as requested, whew! When we entered our room, I was very pleased by the overall attractiveness of the room. Very spacious, clean, modern, and appeared to have been renovated very recently. Plenty of room and comfort for a couple to spend the night and get a reasonable night's sleep. My only complaint about the sleep quality had to do with the outside noises such as cars honking and screeching down the street at night. Some better sound dampening would have been great. Loved the soap dish on the sink counter and the ability to purchase any of the amenities for home such as alarm clock, towels, etc if we wanted them. Not many hotels I've been to deal with soap dishes or offer to let you buy their amenities to take home. Ice machine was easy to get to on second floor and rooms were big enough for our group of couples to gather in for drinks before we went out to the Tropicana for the evening. There is a pool here, but it's obviously not open during the winter months. They even had Guardian Angels patrolling the property and streets nearby for added security. Great place to spend the night and use as a homeless for a stay in AC. Would definitely go back again.

After reading some of the reviews on here, we were pretty skeptical about staying at this property even though we had already prepaid for the room. We decided to stick with it and give it a chance, and I am so glad we did. Rooms were pretty decent and clean, beds were SUPER comfortable. Breakfast was ok in the morning, hard to expect much more or be disappointed when it's free. Every time I called to check on our reservation the staff was accommodating and courteous. Check in was quick and easy, and the gentleman explained everything to us, even recommending somewhere for a quick, late night dinner. The noise levels weren't nearly as bad as we expected, and we were in town for the indoor race so we were coming back for bedtime at early hours in the morning. Very pleased with our stay, especially with the price. My advice, give it a try, some of these reviews are misleading. We will be back

Room tip: 4th floor rooms quieter. Lots of stairs unless you take elevator

I had a reservation for a weekend ( Friday - Sunday). I called ahead and spoke to someone at the front desk. I was flying in from North Carolina and arriving around 2 A.M. on a Friday morning. I was told that is not an issue. Once I arrived I was then told I had to pay a 100 dollar deposit on top of the money I have already spent for my flight and hotel bundle plus 10 dollars a day for parking. Essentially, I paid for Friday, two times. My original reservation plus an extra $60.00 from 2 Am when I arrived till 10:00 am, when I was told to come and "check out" of the room to be " checked in" for my original reservation.

Thank you for writing a review. I apologize for any confusion, however according to hotel rules 2am friday is considered a thursday night stay. Until checkout on friday in fact is considered thursday. So there was no error in your charge. The deposit is advertised on all our websites including third party websites. Most Atlantic City Hotels and Casinos do charge a room security deposit. Parking charges are also the norm throughout the city and are advertised on all of our websites and third party websites. We hope you will stay with us again soon.

the outside of the establishment is deceiving.
It was clean and breakfast was delicious.
the room was very clean.
My only issue was the additional $10.00 for parking

Our hot complimentary continental breakfast is a favorite among our guests. We try our best to offer a wide variety of items for every taste. I apoligize you had an issue with the $10.00 parking. In Atlantic City it is the norm for a parking charge at most hotels and casinos. We hope to see you again soon.

I had a reservation in the summer, and when I went to check in they had no rooms available. The reservation was "lost." Was very disappointing, I came from out of town and needed a room. Luckily the manager found us another room down the street - a place I never would have booked on my own.

Room tip: Call back daily to make sure they don't "lose" your reservation.
