Being very warm on the boardwalk and looking for a place cool and inexpensive for lunch we went to the Pier Shops and had a large slice of pizza and a drink. Air conditioned and relaxing we recommend.

The Pier shops is a very nice mall with its pros and cons. Primary reasons for going in there were to stay out of the rain and get lunch at the pizza shop on the third floor.

Pros

1. Mall is clean
2. Alot of stores, good variety(its sugar candy store is my favorite)
3. Easy to get to from the boardwalk and from ceasers casino
4. Decent food court, decent combo meal prices at the pizza shop.
5. Spectacular water show every hour on the hour.
6. Nice view of the beach and ocean at the end of the mall on the third floor.
7. If you need a reprieve from the heat the AC is nice and cold.

Cons

1. The majority of the stores are very high end. If your on a budget go somewhere else.
2. Outside the water show and the its sugar candy store this isn't a child friendly mall.

I give this a 4 out of 5 stars.

Many of the shops were vacant or still closed at 11:00 in the morning. Felt like a ghost town and this is supposed to be high season?

Typical mall stores, some very high end stores, good food in the upstairs restaurants, check out the candy store on the ground level

It is clean and modern, three floors of shops which provide a welcome respite from the heat. All the way at the end of the pier is a fountain. once an hour There is a choreographed show (one song's length) where the water at times rises as high as the 3rd story, Rain is produced from a track near the ceiling, and colored lights change the appearance of the spouting water.

Doors beyond the fountain lead outside to the end of the pier where you get a nice view of the ocean and back toward the boardwalk.

On the 3rd floor are restaurants and along the full length of the pier, on the inside, are beach chairs perched along a strip of sand where you can enjoy the beach while also enjoying air- conditioning.
