Description: Gallagher's Steak House & Gallagher's Burger Bar have opened at The New Resort. The first Gallagher's opened in Manhattan, when Helen Gallagher, a former Ziegfeld Girl, & her husband, Jack Solomon, opened their dining room in 1927. Gallagher's Atlantic City has retained elements of the original. Dark cherry hardwood floors & paneled walls complement the dark leather booths. Hanging red-domed fixtures provide adequate light for the well-dressed customers. Gallagher's is a treasure for anyone who loves old photos of yesterday's stars. Gallagher's Burger Bar features gourmet burgers made from Gallagher's aged sirloin, the menu also includes a variety of salads and Kobe beef burgers. Enjoy the best burgers around while watching your favorite sporting event on our 10 flat screen TV’s. Located on the "Dining Level" of The New Resort, Boardwalk & North Carolina Avenue.

Best Steaks in Atlantic City. Pricey but well worth it. Good

Like their place in NYC, the steaks are mediocre. We had a large group here for dinner and enjoyed great service, a nice atmosphere and a good wine list.

We were there for New Year's Eve and even with the crowd and limited menu, it far from disappoints. Surf and turf was fabulous, service is excellent and the ambiance is great. Pretty pricey but if your looking for great food and service in an elegant environment, this is the place.

Visited on a Sunday evening in November, and the place was empty. Only a total of 4 tables were visibly filled and the slow-trickle of customers didn't pick up while we were there. That was fine with me, no wait, excellent service!

Although we were slightly under-dressed, we still received excellent service. We simply hadn't planned for a fancy dinner, but were both craving a great steak. I'd highly recommend business casual attire at a minimum.

Like most things in life, you get what you pay for. Our total bill was $190 including a $40 tip and we split an appetizer, each had a beer, then a steak and a side each. This place is a la carte, so your side will set you back $8 - but it is phenomenal. I went with the center cut filet at $38...

The food was cooked perfectly. The steak cut like a hot knife through butter (cooked medium). I've dined at other places whose steaks range in this price (Cafe Aldo Lamberti) that were terrible compared to this. I cannot wait to go back. I have thought about that steak every 2-3 days for the last 3 weeks! It's calling me to come back!

Visited here with my wife in August. Did not have a reservation and on entering was told there would be a 1 hr wait. No problem as we were not in any rush. Shown to a nice table at the rear of the restaurant. I started with a plate of the Lobster bisque which was lacking in pieces of lobster, but nonetheless was very good.

We then had a filet mignon and a Cowboy steak. Both were a good size and cooked to perfection.

We found the waiting staff to be very helpful, although their main attention was on a large table of men who were ordering copious amounts of alcohol and would doubtless be bigger tippers at the end of the night.

Although the place was perhaps lacking in atmosphere, it is basically a steakhouse and it does what it says on the tin.

Would happily return for the same again.
PS Could not manage to eat all the steak and took the remaining portion away in a "doggy" bag and had it the next day on the beach......scrumptious.
