The Claridge is a decent hotel that offers many things when considering vacationing in Atlantic City. For gambling, it is connected to Bally's (5 minute walk indoors) and close to Ceasar's (10 minute walk). You are on the boardwalk and a 5 minute walk fro mthe beach. Service from front desk to housekeeping fairly efficient and friendly.

Didn't try the hotel's restaurant but why would you when within walking distance there are some cheap eats and food that is tasty, cheaper food than hotel. Within a 10 minute walk is Bill's Gyros and Pho Sydney (both reviewed). Even McD's is close - 7 minute walk. If you drive about 10 minutes you have AC Sandwiches (reviewed) and Barbera Seafood.

For shopping, the Tanger outlet mall is a 10-15 minute walk, depending on the shops you want to visit. The hotel itself has an indoor pool and a fitness room. There is an arcade for the kids. The sad thing about this grand old hotel is that there are large parts of it that are open and not used. These areas are still maintained - overlooking the small park is a fairly large area for wedding receptions including a small dance floor, theater area (appears to be closed), lounge area, connection to Bally's. All public areas of the hotel appeared to be well maintained and clean.

The standard room includes 2 double beds is spacious for 4 adults. However, the beds are really not adequate for adults if you are staying longer than 2 days.
Mattresses were soft, as were the pillows (ask for more pillows). Rooms are fairly clean however, age i beginning to show. Shower heads and faucets are old and in need of replacement. Trim areas are showing rust and cracks - especially in the washroom. A small fridge is included in every room.

You will be charged a resort fee of $15 per day. Apparently, this is for the "free" wi fi. The front desk might not tell you upon check in but the bottled water and Keurig coffee in your room is complimentary. This is also probably why you pay the resort fee so make sure you drink your water and coffee.

For a good price under $100/night, check out priceline and groupon. The Claridge is a good choice when planning an Atlantic City trip.

Room tip: Rooms with partial ocean view are quieter, away from elevators. Ocean view rooms are right where elevators are.

I booked this hotel suite for my 6th wedding anniversary. We were staying at the hotel for 1 night. Upon arrival everything seemed fine. There were a very large amount of people waiting at the elevators but we didn't think anything of it. After arriving at our room on the 17th floor we were pleased with the room. It was spacious and updated. Our issues started after that. The room was warm. Every time we adjusted the thermostat in the room, a red light would shine and it would reset to the default setting. After leaving he room to go out for the night we were stuck waiting for an elevator for 30 minutes. We were late for our dinner reservation and had to wait until they had an extra table. When we returned we asked what was going on with the elevators and were told that they weren't working correctly. With that being said we got onto an elevator and got stuck on the 5th floor. We were told to get off by security and find another way up. UGH!! When we arrived at the room we were greeted by the overwhelming smell of marijuana.
When we checked out the next morning I was informed that I was being charged for a "resort fee" of 18.00 plus tax for pool use and wifi. I was livid why wasn't this charged when I purchased the room. I paid over 500.00 for a night and was very mad. I proceeded to tell the front clerk about my stay. I asked about security and informed them of all the issues and drug use in front of my hotel room. The man shrugged his shoulders and said he would tell his manager when he saw him. We will never stay with Radisson again. It was the worst experience we have ever had.
