Show lessMy husband booked this hotel because the rates were far more reasonable than others in AC. You get what you pay for!!! The hotel is rundown, not historic...old! The room is worn and dingy. The bathroom had stains on the floor and the shower had signs of mold at the bottom.
The lobby is also worn and the elevators are slow!!! When you leave the parking garage there aren't any signs indicating where check-in is located. There is nothing stopping outsiders from taking the elevators. Management may say there is a slot in the elevator that you need to put your room key in, but it doesn't work. All you need to do is hit the button and the elevator takes you upstairs.
The guests on the floor we stayed on were loud and drunk!! We arrived back to our room at 11:30pm and they were roaming the floor going room to room. We called downstairs and things seemed to quiet down until 3:30am when they were yelling and banging on doors. This was unacceptable. Management did seem to quiet them down again, but the night was ruined!!!
When we left the hotel in the morning an employee informed us that this type of behavior is common at the hotel and the guests are often evicted. Don't stay you get what you pay for!
Dear Guest,
Thank you for taking the time to write a review, and bringing this matter to our attention. We take pride in our “Yes I Can!” service and sincerely apologize for the challenges you had during your recent stay with us. We are currently addressing these issues as well as making necessary updates and renovations to our historic hotel. In addition to our ongoing remodeling of all hotel bathrooms, we are updating the elevator system as well as adding more directional signages to avoid the understandble confusion. We are happy to hear that we were able to take care of the noise issue during your stay, but we would appreciate the opportunity to discuss these personally with you even further. We invite you to contact us directly at 6094874400, as it would be my pleasure to assist.
Warm regards,

Stayed at the Claridge Hotel in Atlantic City for my birthday last November. Got a deal through Groupon. Nice location one block from the boardwalk. 1920's era hotel recently renovated. Loved the decor! Connects to Ballys and Caesars. Hotel has indoor pool, fitness center, valet parking, restaurant, art gallery, rooftop bar with outdoor deck with fire pits and breathtaking views.
Walking distance to the outlets, Dunkin Donuts, and Rite Aid.

I stayed at The Claridge for 2 days during Spring Break and it was an amazing experience! I'm not a huge fan of hotels for obvious reasons, they give you a hard time to check in, rude staff, you know the regular. But The Claridge was a great stay!
My girlfriend and I booked the room through Groupon for about 65 a night which was an amazing deal. When we first got in we were greeted by a manager named Dina. Dina was so warm and receptive. I felt like I was staying at my aunt or grandmas house that's how welcoming she was.
When we got into the room we wanted to take a bubble bath before we got the night started, but I noticed the tub could not hold bath water. So we called Dina and she gave us a free upgrade to a room with a jacuzzi! The jacuzzi in the new room was so beautiful!
Another cool thing about the hotel, upon check in we got free drink tickets to the rooftop bar and lounge! The rooftop bar is so cool! The bbq wings and pizza are amazing! My girlfriend and I dined there twice during our stay.
The pool has a Miami and Vegas feel to it. It has rooftop and it's decorated with beach chairs and canopys. I just wish is it was more adult friendly. It's hard to catch a vibe with 5 year olds playing marco polo lol. Maybe an adult only pool party?
The hotel is located right on the boardwalk not far from all the action. It is also fairly quiet. I'm from New York a congested city so I appreciate a calm vibe.
The only downside however was the elevators on the second floor. There's a church there and during their service hours it may be a hassle to get on and off the elevator.
Besides that, everything was perfect! I would definitely stay here during another trip to AC.
Dear Guest,
Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. I am thrilled to see that you enjoyed your time at the hotel!
I have shared your compliments with Dina, and she was honored that you mentioned her by name. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to recognize her for a job well done!
