“3rd time's a charm”
Reviewed October 24, 2013

I recently attended a business dinner at Morton's. I've been here twice before and never really thought the food was anything special. This time however, was different. I ordered filet and lobster tail, both were done to perfection. Everyone was raving about the food. Service and drinks (Cosmopolitan Martini) were good as well.

“Very Nice Dinner for Two”
Reviewed October 19, 2013 via mobile

Very pleasant experience. No negative comments, but just didn't blow us away. Nothing makes it stand out from other high end steak houses.

“Pretty place, good service, but overpriced.”
Reviewed October 16, 2013

The restaurant is pretty and our server was friendly and attentive. However, we were there to celebrate a birthday and after we sat and placed our orders from the regular menus the maitre'd came over and apologetically gave us paper menus that were printed with HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Nice touch, had they not been delivered after we ordered.

My husband ordered a caesar salad for an appetizer and there was a hair in it. The waitress and manager were apologetic, but hair in your food is never ok - and certainly not at these prices!

My filet mignon was fine, not exceptional - and, frankly, I expected exceptional from a steak at Morton's.

After dinner no one at our table opted for dessert, but the waitress still brought a dessert to our friend who was celebrating a birthday which was nice.

The restaurant was nice, the service was good, but after being to other fine steakhouses Morton's simply did not compare.

the food was really good, they dont take a long time to cook it and the guest service is outstanding. the only think is that even with a reservation they can make you wait over 30 min.

“Been there, done that, too expansive for my taste”
Reviewed October 9, 2013 via mobile

Good food, but extremely exagerated prices.
We heard of this place through Pauly Walnut in The Soprano's series (Pine Barrens episode) Nice decor, the ambiance is high class. The prices are overrated. My girlfriend had a 6oz filet mignon(46$). I had a special dish 50$ (6oz filet mignion, 3 giant shrimps and 2 bacon rapped scalopps). They served us a bread with onion crust. The bread was tasty and different from the usual steakhouse bread. Eventhough, the steak was cooked to the perfection, it was not the most amazing steak I've had, for that price. The shrimps and scalopps were good, but still, nothing outstanding. The staff was nice, eventhough when we asked if there was a side that came with our dishes, the waitress laught and told us we had to pay for the sides. We paid 13$ for a side order of horsh radish mashed potatoes, which was excellent (enough for 2 persons). I won't go back to this place because of the price/quality.
