My wife and I stayed at the Wyndham Skyline Tower in Atlantic City towards the end of January, 2017. We only stayed one night from Sunday - Monday due to the minimum amount of points needed through our ownership in Club Wyndham (which is an incredible program regardless of what you may read).
Before we arrived I called and spoke to Michael who informed me that VIP check-in was at 2 PM and regular check-in was at 4 PM. Since we are Club Wyndham VIP's we were happy to hear that early check-in was available. We requested a renovated room on a high floor, away from the elevators. We also requested a lighthouse view. Michael said that he would put a note in the reservation.
Upon arrival we dropped our car with the valet and proceeded to the check-in counter. The check-in process was quick and we were given a renovated room on the 29th floor with a view of the lighthouse, just as requested.
Our room was beautiful as you can see from the attached photos. It was new, clean and perfect for our one-night getaway.
We did opt-in for the sales presentation and received a $75 gift card for attending. We were also given show tickets which we used and enjoyed. The show was right down the street at the Resorts Casino. If you aren't interested in giving up time for a sales presentation, just say no. We took the $75 gift card and spent it at the outlets later on.
The facilities were great. Most activities are located on the 6th floor including the rooftop pool, game room, pool tables, movie theatre, etc. Yes, the elevators are slow because there are only two and the hotel is under renovation but since we were on a mini-vacation there was really no rush to go anywhere!
Atlantic City is an interesting area. I have been there a few times over the last 20 years and it seems that more than ever they are trying to revitalize the area. Whether or not they will succeed will show over time, but if you are looking for a place to stay in A/C - check out the Wyndham. You won't be disappointed.
