“Great place, with lots to see and do!”
Reviewed June 10, 2013

From Casinos, to Outlets there is something for everyone of every age here. The beach and boardwalk are great places. The Tropicana is a great place to stay. If you don't want to leave the hotel you don't have to everything is in one spot for you.

“See the Light Show”
Reviewed May 30, 2013

The 3D light show on the side of the building was the highlight of our trip. Starts at 8, every half hour or so. It lasts a few minutes, definitely worth checking out!

“Nice place but the sound is not good”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

This is a nice venue but the sound is really poor. You can see from any seat and the staff all were polite. If your in the area it is convenently located to hotels and other attractions. It is nice to leave through the door and be looking at the beach.

“Special”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

With a seating capacity of anywhere from 1/2 (hockey) to 3/4 (concerts) of Madison Square Garden in NYC, it plays like a relatively small arena. While no Radio city Music Hall in terms of acoustics, the sound was quite good for the two concerts I've seen there -- one from the floor about 20 rows back from the stage and the other from about 7 rows up of what would be mid court of a basketball game. The bathrooms were a bit tight at times, but the concourses relatively open and comfortable except at intermission. The concession prices were not unreasonable. What makes the place particularly special is it's history. While it was renovated perhaps 15 years ago, it was here that the first Miss America contest took place almost 100 years ago and where Lyndon Johnson was nominated for president in 1964. It was an early venue for the Beatles and it was here that Gov. Brendan Byrne signed a bill to legalize gambling in NJ in 1976

“Very old, but still a solid facility.”
Reviewed May 3, 2013

This place is old, and feels old. However, the concession lines move and are fairly priced. The sight lines are pretty decent, given the age of the design. The sound quality is top notch.
The main downside is entry/exit. The only point of entry is the boardwalk, and the whole entry process tends to be ludicrously crowded.
The seats are comfortable enough, but nothing fancy.
Overall, a fine no-thrills place to catch some entertainment.
