I've been going to Chef Vola's for years and have brought many groups for their first time as I did last week and every time the restaurant draws raves! It's a difficult place to obtain a res so do so weeks in advance and try not to have too large a group because its small and crowded. We started with their great salad, followed with fresh mozzarella wrapped in prosciutto, then home made veal sausage with peppers, mushrooms and onions, and then roasted red peppers. All long time standards shared family style. The main courses everyone chose were either the Chilean Sea Bass or the magnificent Veal Chop Parmigiana. Some still had room for desserts which also were fabulous. It's BYOB so even though the prices may be slightly on the high side overall its a bargain for AC and nowhere is the food as good and the experience as much fun.

People go on about how it's hard to get into, but I've been 4 times with out a prob. Last night I went and made Resv. The night before for 5ppl. If you live north jersey/ New York, then this place won't stand out. In a casino town with most casino restaurants over charging it's a good value since it's byob. I had red snapper with crab meat once, wasn't very good, but not bad, veal chop is ok, enough for two, prosciutto with buffalo mozz. Sucks! Not even buffalo mozz, and the prosciutto is the cheap stuff. Linguini with white clam sauce is good- very good. Nothing else really stands out for me. But, the desserts are excellent. Probably the best Pies I have ever eaten. Banana cream, perfect, the creme brûlée, peanut butter, coconut, and the other two we ordered the other night all excellent. Few past trips as well. the desserts are what brings me back. If your a dessert, especially a pie person, this is the place, average food amazing desserts is 100% accurate description of this place, lastly the service although knowledgeable about their dishes isn't much better than your average restaurant

Service was excellent, food was better. It's certainly different. We will be back. Crab cakes were huge and really good, Veal Parm was outrageously good. BYOB.

I'll skip the usual make a reservation far in advance, BYOB, best place in AC etc. Let's get real here. Chef Vola is wearing the emperor's clothes. The wait staff is wonderful, quick, knowledgeable and courteous. You'll probably meet half the staff during your dinner. It's eating not dining that you experience here. You can skip the menu if you wish and ask them to make anything you wish. The portions are large and the food average to good. I come from north Jersey and there are at least 10 Italian joints within 10 miles that serve better food in less cramped quarters. Great Italian begins with great bread. Look for another baker. It is an experience and you'll always have the story of when you ate in someone's basement in AC. Do it once. Definitely try any of their dessert pies. Someone explain to me why the bathroom is in the kitchen, Sonno pazzi?

I have been going to Chef Vola's in Atlantic City for almost 20 years. The food & service has never waivered from perfection. This visit, I once again had the Flounder Francaise. You can't go wrong with this dish. I have included a picture of my dinner. My girlfriend had the Veil medallions topped with Mushrooms & Demi Glaze. It was amazing! Desert, must have the Banana Cream Pie & Ricotta Cheese Pie ! Almost forgot, Appetizer was the Seafood Salad for 2 and Angel Air with Bolagnese. Really good! Total bill with tip $120. Bring your own Wine and cash only! You must try it! Email me for the Phone Number.
