Walking in this tavern you feel like you have stepped back in time, and it's a good feeling. The dining room we ate in had wood paneled walls from the 50's with sports figures and celebrity photo's from the past. Frank Sinatra tunes were playing in the background.I am only reviewing several food items, because we knew from past visits that an order of Lasagna serves 2 people, so ordering more food would be a waste.
For an appetizer we ordered Spicy Breaded Green Beans. The order was large enough for two, freshly made, crispy and quite spciy with a side of Ranch Dressing.
Our entree came with a huge bowl of iceberg lettuce mix salad with a creamy salad dressing. The salad was average.
The italian bread we were served with the meal was warm and tasty.
Our lasagna entree was split in two by request. The waitress had no problem with that. We also ordered meatballs on the side. The Lasagna came piping hot with a delicious tomato sauce that tasted like it was made by Grandma in the back! The lasagna managed to be light and very tasty even though it had many layers of noodles. I cried uncle half the way through my portion and took the rest home. My meatball was the size of a softball! The meat was tasty and tender, but most of it also went in the take home container to be eaten later as a late night snack!
