We were told about this restaurant by a friend, and after reading reviews here, we decided to try it. It's located in the Chelsea Heights section of Atlantic City, across Albany Avenue from the Sandcastle Stadium. It is very intimate, with only 18 seats at tables, including 4 at "high top" tables. There is additional seating at the bar. It is the typical row house layout, long and narrow, with the liquor store in front and the Iron Room restaurant in the rear. Parking in the alley beside the facility is limited, but there is ample street parking on both Trenton and Crossan Avenues.
The menu is very limited, and, we're told, changes frequently, with only the burger always available. We had a pumpkin soup, pasta dish, burger, crème Brule and a wonton dessert. The soup and pasta dish were part of the "small plate" fare, but we were very satisfied sharing the two small plates and the 1/2 pound burger. All were delicious, with very fresh seasonal touches that made each dish very unique and flavorful. For example, the burger comes with cheese choices including gruyere and gouda! To my knowledge, there is nothing else like it in AC. In addition, the bar carries a myriad of wines, liquors and beers from micro breweries and micro distilleries. The service was top notch. I highly recommend. Total bill including drinks, taxes and tip was $65. Very reasonable for the quality and service.
