We recently had a family gathering at the Sheraton and had it catered by the Tun Tavern. From the moment we called inquiring, we were handled professionally. Many options were provided and the planning went off without a hitch.

Day of Event:

a pleasant call came earlier in the day asking if the team could come by and pre-set the room. All was professionally laid out and the team paid attention to every detail.

The cold appetizers / items were delivered earlier followed by the heated items.

All in all an easy and tasty option.

Menu Items

Tun Display, Hummus & Pita, Chix Fingers, Finger Steak Sandwiches & Hot Wings.

The growlers of beer are fun and allow guests to sample.

Food portions unusually small for USA and pricey. However there is not a great deal of choice outside of the Casino Hotels

We were here Saturday afternoon and we all had a burger, these burgers have a great bun and good quality meat, I would go back for a burger with their crispy fries!

If not for the convenient location next to the AC Sheraton and the Convention Center, the Tun Tavern would be out of business. The menu caters to people who like over priced, greasy and unhealthy cuisine. The $5 side of sauteed spinach had more large chunks of uncooked garlic than spinach. I don't know what they added to the rice to make it slimy. The server tried to do a good job despite the fact that her coworkers are clowns. I suspect the organizational culture is one of 'be nice to the person tipping you and be rude to everyone else'. The place was empty at 7 PM when I arrived but I could not get anyone's attention for seating as they were too busy chatting and joking. The hostess spent most of the evening in the kitchen. I finally asked the cashier if I could seat myself in a booth and she informed me that due to the convention they had to "maximize the seating" and offered me a "lovely table" next to the grill and wait station. I should have declined as I was forced to listen to the details of the waitstaff's social calendars during my dinner. The big rush of patrons never came and the booths and most of the restaurant were still empty when I left. My frozen veggie burger with a side of slimy rice and garlic spinach along with the tip cost me $40. The area caters to business travelers who come for one visit and never return. There is no shortage of eateries in Atlantic City. Select a different one.
