“Awesome view and great food!”
Reviewed August 1, 2013

This restaurant is spectacular! We went during Happy Hour and found a beautiful view, great food, and an unbeatable value! The windows facing the ocean run from the floor to the 20-or-so-foot ceilings. Happy Hour was great AND there was no waiting. We had the sushi - Philadelphia roll and Ono roll - the best! We also had five spare ribs falling off the bone, two shrimp egg rolls, seaweed salad, a martini, and a beer, and the grand total was $25. To top it off, we were given a voucher for $10 free slot play! The staff was super attentive and we could not have had a better experience! YAY!!!

“WOW!!!!”
Reviewed July 4, 2013

Sit at the Bar Area, tables or bar stools and enjoy a sunset cocktail in this SOARING phenomenal-looking Dining Room. The staff is lovely but in no hurry, but then again, in this space, you shouldn't be. It feels like you're dining on a luxury cruise ship. I mentioned to our server that the temperature of our sushi would have tasted better if it were colder. He politely said: "I will tell the Chef." All and all, this place is a winner, with a winning staff! The Host is very "Iron Chef"-like!

“Unassuming Gem!”
Reviewed June 3, 2013

The wife and I took a night to visit Ono's for the first time last week. We were very pleasantly surprised. Aside from the prices being reasonable (not to be expected in casinos in this area), but the service and food were outstanding! We arrived with no reservations on Saturday night, but were immediately seated. Our table was right on the window, overlooking the beach and Atlantic Ocean. We could see the boardwalk too, but we had to get very close to the window to look steeply down to see it, due to the height of the restaurant. It's on the second floor, but technically it's 3 floors up.

Out wait staff was attentive but not overbearing. Service was fast and efficient. I ordered a spring roll, and the wife ordered egg drop soup. The soup came out in a large bowl, and instead of a spring roll, they brought out 3 of them, arranged on a bed of lettuce or cabbage bits. It was a very appealing presentation.

The entres we ordered were marinated chicken, and chicken and broccoli. The chicken and broccoli was a large portion, cooked and seasoned to perfection. I wasn't able to eat half of it because of the portion size, and I happily took the remainder home. The marinated chicked arrived not as a single grilled piece, but 3 large pieces! Wow, we also took the remainder of that home.

Overall, the visit was thoroughly enjoyed, and I will return to Ono's in the near future.

“Good Food but Slow Service”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

On Saturday evening of Memorial Day Weekend we went to Ono Restuarant at the Atlantic Club Casino. We first stopped at the Bar Area for Cocktails during their Happy Hour. Prices are very reasonable, $2 domestic Beer and $5 Martinis. Our bartender was very friendly and she made an excellent Absolute Raspberry Martini. Since we wanted to enjoy our coctails before dinner, we requested a dining table for 6:15 PM.
Our table was ready for dining at 6:15 PM. However, they were placing us at a table against the wall, while a window table was available. I called the maitre de over and requested to be moved to the window table overlooking the boardwalk and Atlantic Ocean, which he did. But if I did not speak up, that table would have gone to someone just walking into the restuarant.
We placed our order, but had to wait a full 45 minutes before our dinners came to the table. We found this to be totally unacceptable. However, the food was good, hot and tasty. We ordered chicken chow mein and stir fried egg plant. You must request a pot of tea, as they will not bring tea without requesting it. During our wait, we finished the plate of noodles and duck sauce that was placed on the table before we sat down.
Prices are reasonable, but some of the dishes were pricey.

“Ono,a affordable casino dining option.”
Reviewed May 26, 2013

We stopped in Ono the first weekend in May. Promptly seated I ordered General tso's chicken, she ordered a noodle dish" forgot the name". Food arrived in about 10-15 minutes piping hot.
We both agrees that while the food was good, it was nothing special. It was just so so. But the bill for 2 without drinks was $32! Anything over $25 earns a $10 gambling credit. This made it an excellent value should you be a gambler!
Our waiter was very good and friendly, the place has windows overlooking the boardwalk and beach. And it looks nice inside too. I would like to rate it a 5 on a 1-5 scale but I really can't. The food itself was a little lack luster. Not bad but not up to our expectations for such a classy looking place.
