Our large group had a table in back. Waitress was good, but food came out slowly! Favorites were tuna crackers, crispy shrimp, peking duck. Fried rice wasn't what we expected - a fried egg on top (not mixed in) - and wasn't eaten. We shared a bottle of cold sake, which was very tasty. Prices were high, but the food was delicious!

Not being that familiar with Japanese food, we thought we would just give this a try and were pleased with the choice. Started with a crispy shrimp appetizer, that turned out to be a bowl full - easily enough to be a meal for one person. Also had the kobe beef with apricot mustard on skewers, which was medium rare and excellent. For entrees, the Chilean sea bass in miso broth and udon noodles came out luke-warm and went back for re-heating but was very tasty. Also had the duck, which was very good - it was served intended to be made into little sandwiches, but the bland doughy dumplings overwhelmed the flavor, so I quickly abandoned that idea.

As other people have noted, this is not a quiet place. There were three bridal parties in the room we were in, the third of which was over the limit. Then inexplicably, the background music was turned up to the point that the waiter couldn't hear well enough to take orders - and this was a 7:30, hardly nightclub time.

Great sushi. Just like any other restaurant in Borgata, people scene and great food. I would highly recommend. It is truly a great dining experience.

We just got back from our Atlantic City trip which included a dinner at Izakaya. I liked how it was a "tapas" style Japanese restaurant. When entering the restaurant I had no idea how large it was. We were sat in the back behind the chefs and unfortunately for us there was an ornary couple seated next to us and three extremely large tables of about 20 behind us.

While the food was very good- delcious rolls and entrees, the ambiance was terrible. I wish we asked to be moved. One of the tables of 20 was all women and of course the next table of 20 sat directly beside them was all men. They got themselves all riled up and were taking shots and being really loud and obnoxious- plus we had to deal with the crabby couple next to us that was being rude to their waitress.

I would say I probably would have given this place a better rating if we were seated out towards the front, but the fact that they were just trying to fill tables and pushed us back there wouldn't make me apt to go again unless I asked for a table in the front.
