Diana and Alma were so helpful and kind , nothing was to much . The owners were also helpful . The small pool is a gem , after a hot day out
A little fridge in the room would be useful .
. When we come back to Santa Marta we will stay here.

Room Tip: Only five rooms so choice is not a problem. All but one you have to climb stairs . Ground floor room is next to the road . I heard no complaints from the couple staying there .

Very friendly owner (sandra). Very willing to help and sort things out when you are not a spanish native speaker as I am. Nicely located and furnished boutique hotel. Breakfast will do the job. Pleasant roof top terrace to end your day with a bear or two and watch over the city and hear the buzz on the surrounding lively streets. Comfortable rooms.

Very pleasant place to stay, but not a knockout in any particular way. Simple and uncluttered design. The 'concept' room I stayed in was quite small and decorated in laura ashley style fashion with lots of pink and florals. TV was impossible to see. The dipping pool is a great idea, but bare in mind that there is little privacy as concierge/night manager and other staff are around the vicinity of the pool a lot of the time, so it felt a tad claustrophic to me. Ticks: Breakfast, central location, warm and welcoming check in. Minuses: average value for room type and amenities. The sister property next door -Casa del Farol - looked like a better option.

Very impressive hotel. Staff friendly, welcoming and speak English. The design features and finishings remind you of being in Spain (infact the owners are from Barcelona). Each of the 5 rooms has its own individual styling - all impeccable. The rooms are large, with wifi, TV, great AC and feel safe/quiet.
The breakfast is delicious and is included in the price of the room. There is also a great roof top area with sun loungers.
The owners bent over backwards to help us with transport or any query!
I cannot faulty my stay at the hotel and firmly recommend anyone to stay here on their travels in Santa Marta.

Room Tip: Ask for Paris or Rome rooms - just lovely!

I picked the hotel the day before I arrived, because a condo reservation fell thru. What a happy accident. We ended up spending four nights, the first two at Casa De Agua, and the second two at Casa De Los Arboles. The owners run three hotels and two restaurants in the area, each with a theme, but joined by impeccable service, cleanliness, and a certain touch that makes you know you are someplace special. The staff are very friendly, and seem to anticipate all your needs. The hotels are all located in the old section of town, near the Cathedral and plaza, in completely renovated buildings.

The hotel is full of wonderful antiques the owners bought in Mexico City. There is a choice of three breakfasts, Fruit, cereal, or more typical Colombian eggs, cheese and arapas. The rooms are small by American standards, but very comfortable. Our room had a large shared patio/balcony that was great in the evenings and for coffee in the mornings.

The owners told me that they speak English, a plus to the American traveler (They are Spanish). As an interesting aside, all the staff love their work. My only problem was that I could not figure out how to put the wonderful antique desk from my room into my suitcase.
