“Still the best”
Reviewed March 25, 2013

I visited the town again this march and went back to this lovely place. It is great that they have kept up the good food and service. As always, the service was very nice and helpful. Their mojitos are the best in town! i would stop there any day for a nice drink and a meal!

“Bad experience for Sunday night dinner”
Reviewed February 24, 2013

The meat was overcooked, creme brûlée served roated or expired, and they replaced it with an apple pie which was as hard as a stone, I guess it was at the freezer for the last century.
If this is the no.1 restaurant in town I prefer to stay at home and eat a can of tuna.

“Found strips of plastic in my food!”
Reviewed February 22, 2013

I went with my husband for lunch and we found red plastic strips cooked into our gourmet fries! It was apparent that the plastic had been cooked because it was all wrinkly and wizened. When I showed it to the waitress, she whisked it away without a word. Then they proceeded to charge us for the fries! They didn't even offer to prepare another dish since we had barely made a debt in this side. Hopefully the management reads this because the service and product were unacceptable. Take not of the appropriate prevention and response:
1) don't cook plastic in your food. Carefully clean and separate food an plastic before cooking
2) if a guest finds plastic in her food, apologize! This is embarrassing for the restaurant!
3) consider sending out the chef with an explanation.
4) offer another dish or replacement
5) by all means, dunces, don't charge the guests for a dish they could not eat because human bodies don't digest plastic!
El Bistro failed on all counts to do the right thing. Disgusting!
The waitress worked on Friday lunch shift on feb 22.
