I would rate this hotel a 2.5 or a weak 3.This hotel was clean, but it is not in a good location. I spent enough money on taxies getting to where I needed to go to pay for a much nicer hotel in town and near the beach. I made a reservation based on a friend's recommendation (she grew up in nearby Cienega) and even she agreed that other places would have been better.
The wireless internet connection that they advertise for guests did not work and I had to have access for work. The bathroom was so small that I had no where to put my shaving kit and supplies. The Flat scree TV worked great. Food was bad. Service was good. The "Natural Park" area with live animals was a joke. Caged up birds, squirls, and (I forget) that looked misserable.
A funny thing happened to me the night I stayed there. I got in late from a Vallanato Festival and turned on the Air Conditioning. It blasted cold air and felt good (it was a warm evening). However when the room cooled down, and in fact got really cold, I went to turn it off and the batteries on the remote had run out. There was no way to manually turn it off. So, on a night that was 85 degrees all night and 85% humidity I was bundled up with sweatshirt, pants, and socks! (I didn't want to wake up the staff who were all sleeping - probably should have...)
