Decameron Los Delfines
Ranked #12 of 43 Hotels in San Andres Island

We decided to reserve at this hotel reading all the reviews and we were not disappointed. This is a very nice little hotel close to downtown San Andres where you are close to the walking path along the beach. The service at front desk for check in and check out was promt and very courtious, they were always prompt to help with demands, and for tourist related questions. Everything was done in good humour and with a smile. The service at the bar was always excellent and with a smile. The pool and surroundings were always keep very clean. Really remarkable. The room was always well cleaned everyday. Again top notch. The restaurant is a A LA CARTE restaurant, the cuisine was excellent. The waiters were always smiling and would do the most to satisfy your demands. All in all this is a 3.5 star Boutique Hotel, the room was a little small to our North American Standard but nevertheless everything you needed was there. We found the bed hard but you get use to it after a couple of nights. Frankly I would recommend this hotel very highly and would certainly go back in an instant.

We loved our stay at Los Delfines! Helpful staff, clean rooms, quiet and quaint. Not overcrowded like most of the other hotels felt (we visited all of the other Decameron hotels). It was within walking distance of other restaurants and shops and very close to the beach. Our whole trip was unforgettable!

Just came back from a stay at Los Delfines. The hotel was wonderful. The room was spotless and the restaurant service and food was great. I was initially booked at the acuarium but having visited I am so glad I got moved. Much more peaceful with a lovely quiet pool area and more of a friendly feel compared to the size of acuarium. Big bonus is the great poolside bar right outside my room with friendly staff Eric and co! just teh right amaount of party. Proximity to town also a bonus.

We returned Christmas Day from San Andres.
We stayed at "Decameron Boutique Los Delfines".
We loved it. The food and the service were fabulous.
They put out a great spread on Christmas Eve.
The island is beautiful. The people are great.
The snorkling was unbelievable.
The whole "6 hotels in 1 deal" is an amazing bargain.
Duty free shopping was impressive.

I have been to Jamaica, Mexico, Venezuela, Barbados, Maurgarita Island. San Andres was by far the best "bang for my buck".

My wife and I flew from Montreal to the beautiful island of San Andres. This was our second time to the island and we enjoyed it even more than the first. We decided to stay at the Los Delfines as we had read that it was a renovated hotel. So here we go with the review:

Location:
This hotel is located downtown San Andres right on the Carribean sea. Very close to the shopping area (Duty free) and restaurants.

Room:
Quite small but very functional (TV, small fridge, shower no bathtub, air conditioning, and a large "hard" king size bed).

Cleanliness:
Spotless every day.

Restaurant:
Sea view, a la carte restaurant (one) which was excellent (fusion cuisine). You can feed the fish from the restaurant window. Very cool... You can book at all of the other Decameron resorts for lunch and dinner. We enjoyed the Thai food restaurant at the Aquarium and the Rocky Cay beach restaurant where we had fish and steak. The moonlight view, the warm breeze, aah, it felt like paradise.

Pool Area:
Small pool but clean and quite adequate. Wooden sun chairs will comfy red cushions.

Hotel size:
Tiny only 36 rooms.

Bar:
Only one located at the pool. We had great service.

View:
View of Johnny Cay and the Carribean sea. Just beautiful...

Weather:
Low 30's celcius and only 30 minutes of rain during our 1 week stay.

Activities:
We rented a golf cart (twice) and drove around the island. It cost around $50 US for about 9 hours (9:00am to 6pm). We visited the pirate cave, the blow hole, the church, the piscina natural, and all of the other Decameron resorts. We also went to Johnny Cay and spent a few hours there. We purchased our ticket on the public beach (green and yellow cabin). It cost us around $15.00 US for two.

Jewellery:
We decided to buy Emeralds for our mothers while we were there. We went to the shopping center in front of the "Drinks" store about 3 minutes from the resort. Make sure to ask for Mario's store as there is about three jewellery stores in the open aired mall. Prices were affordable and jewellery was of very good quality. Our mothers were very pleased.

Beach:
There is no beach at this hotel. There is a small area where you can access the water and swim. You can also do a little snorkling (not the greatest). The main beach is about a 10 minute walk from the resort (right hand side). The hotel Isleno is right accross the street from the beach. You can eat and drink there during the day. There are no guests staying at this hotel at this time as it is closed for renovations.

We had stayed at the Maryland during our last visit but we enjoyed the Los Delfines more. We would stay here again hopefully in the very near future.
