A very simple restaurant in the south west beach but all the locals recommended it and it was full of locals when we went for lunch (think it closes in the evening but worth checking). Had a lobster and it came on a massive platter with rice, chips and salad. And I saw amazing mixed seafood platters around me. Definately recommend it.

If you want a fancy restaurant this is not for you. El divino Niño is right on the beach and has the best seafood in Providencia and San Andres. The bandeja for two is so unreal, a whole snapper a huge lobster, black crab, shrimp, patacones and coconut rice. So delicious my husband and I eat twice at this place. We had to order ours with garlic and lots of condiments that's the way we like it and not a problem. The manager was so humble and such nice person. El Divino Niño is a restauant where you will sample the freshest seafood of Providencia, I recommend this place with a Diamond star!

Get the mixed plate (plato mixto) which comes with a giant fried fish, a half a lobster, shrimp (odd, since they're not caught locally), sautéed conch, coconut rice and patacones. The conch is incredibly tender and delicious. The fried fish is enormous with tons of meat and not overly fried or greasy. We ate here twice and loved everything we ordered. It's all (except for the shrimp) caught fresh, locally.

I have just returned from Providencia and in our last day in the island a few from the diving centre decided to try the local seafood.
Located in a beautiful long white beach, the food was excellent a very reasonably priced, a mix platter as shown in the pic was 40000 pesos, below 15 quid, with lobster, crab, fish...the whole lot
