Stella Marina complements the growing Asbury Park dining scene very well. A varied array of excellent starters and small plates, especially the pulpo and mussels. The dinner menu is in large part specialty gourmet pizzas and pastas. We had a fig and goat cheese pizza with caramelized red onions and a wonderful paparadella bolognese accompanied by a nice fairly priced red wine. I would have rated the restaurant higher except for the fact they insisted we order our complete meal all at once rather than allowing us to sample a few appetizers, a little at a time, followed by our main course! For the most part you have a wonderful view of the ocean but some of the side views are of the decaying buildings of Asbury in its heyday.
