If you have a taste for real home cooking go for the fried chicken and Ms Maya's Sweet potato crusted tilapia. Side orders of collard greens, potato salad and cole slaw YUMMY!
You can eat indoors or a two tables outside. However, they don't allow BYOB as of yet.
On Sundays there's a Southern Buffet for $17.95. And on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights there's a special dinner for two for $20.00. The chef/owner came out to explain that there can be a longer wait then usual since everything is prepared fresh.
If you're in a hurry maybe the buffet would be better for you. This restaurant is just off the Cookman Ave. shopping area and is family friendly. I'll have to return for the slow-cooked beef short ribs.
