“LandVenture Travel with Andres is the BEST!”
Reviewed March 31, 2013

I, along with other family members from various parts of the USA, had the amazing opportunity to spend 2 days with Andres on 2 consecutive tours. We were in Medellin for a wedding, and the bride (who is from Medellin) prearranged these tours. Since her family also joined us, some of us only spoke English, and some only Spanish. No problem for Andres! He picked up all 18 of us in a bus (with driver), and used a microphone system to describe the history, culture, scenic points, etc. in Spanish, and then English. He speaks impeccable Engilish! We went on a coffee plantation tour in Concordia, had a prearranged lunch at a wonderful local restaurant, and then visited the lovely town of Jardin. He knows the locals there also, so you get a real flavor of the culture, and a more thorough tour of houses, etc. The next day there were 11 of us for a tour around Medellin, so he picked us up in a smaller bus, and then proceeded to take us all around his beautiful city, including a ride up the hillside on the metrocable. Andres is not only an intelligent, interesting guide, he is so personable that he quickly becomes a friend. He is interested in making sure you have the best experience possible, even to the point of stopping at several grocery stores to find that one special item you want from Medellin to take home with you. Thank you, Andres, for making this one of the most memorable trips I've ever had worldwide.! Andres Munera, the owner of LandVenture Travel is the only option for anyone who wants to completely experience Medellin and its surrounding area, including an amazing coffee plantation tour. We hope to see you once again in the future!

“Wonderful tour”
Reviewed March 28, 2013

We took a tour with Andres to see the Piedra del Penol and Guatape. He was a terrific guide, friendly and knowledgable about so many things in Medellin and Colombia in general. He picked us up from our rental apartment and took us to lots of great viewpoints to take photos on the way to the rock. In Guatape he took us out for a delicious local lunch and shared some really interesting stories about his travels. We had a great time and would absolutely recommend Andres and any of his tours.

“Tours that crackle, with a guide who sparkles”
Reviewed March 19, 2013

I've done two tours with Andrés Munera of Landventure Travel, a coffee-country tour and a mountain bike tour of the park near Santa Elena, in the hills over Medellin. Both were well planned and organized, and gave me chances to see things that I wouldn't have been able to see on my own or just in the company of other extranjeros, or even with other Colombians. Andrés really knows his stuff - he's very interested in the social and economic forces underlying what we see on the tour, whether it's the economics of the coffee business or the social inclusion projects of the Medellin city administration. As a Medellin native, he's deeply grounded in Antioquian culture and history, but he's also well-travelled and erudite, and can put things in an international context. He gets on very well with his clients and clearly enjoys his work, and his good relationship with the people along the way - another bike tour guide with whom he sometimes works, the staff in the restaurant he took us to for lunch, the people running the coffee farms and picking the coffee - enriches the tour greatly and speaks well of him.

“The VERY Best in Tours and Information in COLOMBIA!”
Reviewed March 17, 2013

Andres was amazing, he offered knowledge, friendship, unforgettable sights and the time to take in the sights, sounds, foods and people of Colombia! The cave trip was breathtaking and the pictures, well, I am still in awe over the beauty and majesty of what we saw that day in Jardin.
From the moment he picks you up at the hotel to the time he returns you safe and sound, it is an experience like no other! Learning the culture, the coffee process, taking a horse back ride through the mountaintops, seeing the clouds rise with us, and tasting the local delicacies, in food, coffee, and candy.....unforgettable...and well worth every penny spent on this trip. Funny, At one point it stops becoming a tour and guide and truly becomes a sightseeing trip with family and friends.....I loved it! Thanks Andres!

“coffee plantation tour”
Reviewed March 8, 2013

March 7th, five of us went on a tour with Andres to a coffee plantation about an hour and a half from Medellin.

Andres met us at our hotel, drove us there in a very comfortable 7 seat vehicle, and provided a fantastic and interesting commentary on the way there and back on Columbia, birds, trees, and the geography.

The plantation tour was fantastic. Our hosts and Andres, were very hospitable and took us up the mountain on their farm truck, and showed us the whole coffee plantation process from planting, to picking, to separating the beans from the berry, to drying, and bagging. Fascinating.

We stopped for an excellent lunch and made a few other visits to small towns to get a true experience of life in rural Columbia. We all have a new appreciation for our morning joe, that's for sure.

I highly recommend Andres and LandVenture Travel.
