“metro cable to see ugly section of Medellin”
Reviewed September 25, 2012

Did not find it interesting to go over the poorest areas of Medellin on the metrocalble. Once you get up to Santo Domingo you just do not want to stay there. I rather go to Pueblito Paisa over Cerro Nutibara. You can eat there, you can walk around, you have a nice view of the city

“A 'must see'”
Reviewed September 20, 2012

The Metrocable is exactly what it says on the tin: a cable car system that forms part of the Metro network. While one or two of the longer lines now charge a supplement, those that are inside the city cost just the general Metro fare. There is nothing more thrilling than swooping up above the mountainsides in a little cabin and watching the entire city open up before you, and there is nothing more uplifting than to know that the city council built this facility so that the very poor who live up on these mountains can have access to and participate in the life of their city down below. You can just travel in the cable car on a round visit or, if you wish, stop off at the top of those that have some visitor attraction (e.g. library) at the end of the line. Do not miss a trip on the Metrocable!

“Line J...That's Alotta Cable”
Reviewed September 12, 2012

Great view over the city. And CHEAP at $1800 COP. There is no reason not to take one or more of these cable lines to the top of the hills.
