This review is long overdue but my lazy butt couldn't put off reviewing this wonderful place forever. We were wary about traveling to Colombia and it was so nice to be hosted by Americans our age that took us around and really took care of us. Noah and Marcella are super cool and went above and beyond to show us a good time. Breakfast outside is adorable and the food is yum! Our room was nice and clean with very stylish but simple decor. Very close to subway, which we loved :0) highly recommend this stay if you're looking for a warm and attentive stay in Medellin.

I'm amazed that the reviews of Su Casa Colombia are as good as they are. In short, our stay was like a long weekend at grandma's house. My girlfriend and I stayed there for 5 days and, although it was not a bad experience, we were disappointed with several aspects. The house is located in a quiet but not entirely safe-feeling neighborhood that is somewhat distant from Poblado and the city center (i.e., getting anywhere of interest requires a 15 minute walk to the metro station and then 3 stops/a 15-minute ride to the main metro line of Medellin). The Casa itself is very clean, mattresses were new and comfortable, but all other furnishings (couches, dressers, electronics) are presumably leavings of the previous owner and are quite old. Although the hostess Gianna was very nice, she wasn't able to provide much advice on available tours, as they are run by another gentlemen who the Casa contracts with (who was very nice and knowledgeable) and she had not been on the tours. Breakfasts were good, but very repetitive (scrambled eggs with arepa con chocolo nearly every day); the selection of fruits each day was nice. Several small items were also broken or unavailable (e.g., window slats don't stay open, bathroom soap dispenser doesn't dispense, lack of outlets in the bedroom). All in all, for what the room rates are, you could get a much nicer, more accommodating, modern, and better located room at a hotel or hostel. Unless you're interested in a get-away to a quiet neighborhood on the outskirts of Medellin, I'd consider another property.

We stayed at Su Casa for 5 nights and loved our location, rooms, breakfasts and especially our hostesses! We were given great tips on where to go and what to do - how to get to and from and where to eat. Our kids are 16, 12 and 9 and very willing to explore so we took full advantage of the city. The location is great because we could call a cab or take the metro. We could walk around at night to restaurants or head over to the stadium for some soccer. The flower festival had plenty going on nearby too! The kids had their own room and we shared one bathroom. It was quiet and relaxing. A fabulous stay! Thanks Gianna and Serena! They even helped us plan some over night trips to the coffee area and day trips outside of the city -- excellent!

Room Tip: I really think they are all great.

We spent 2 nights in Su Casa and loved every minute of it. Gianna and Serena are fab hostesses and go above and beyond what you'd expect to ensure you get what you want our of your time in Medellin.
We had the ground floor room which was great, really comfy bed and best hot shower we had in Colombia! Breakfast was delicious.
Location-wise it's not as central as you could be but the metro is close and so easy to use and taxis are cheap. We loved the Poblado and loved coming back to cosy (and peaceful!) Su Casa afterwards.

Noah and Marcella were the absolute best host and hostess we encountered on our trip. Everyone is always very helpful in giving you suggestions on what to do and where to eat while visiting. Our first day we arrived, Noah took us for a walk through the neighborhood on our way to the public transport trains. Explaining to us all about his city and how they came to be there. Showed us how to get our tickets and pointed out places of interest as we walked. I can not tell you how this little walk eased our minds about the safety of the area we were in. The breakfasts were great. I would recommend this place to everyone. I had written a review after returning to the US, but never saw it on the site. Now as I read newer reviews I realize that maybe Noah and Marcela have come back to the US. Is it for good, maybe starting a family you two? Or just a vacation? The only issue was another guest that like to sit outside our bedroom late at night with the lights on in the sitting area and his computer going. Coughing all the time. His issue, not the B & B's issue however.

Room Tip: An upstairs room would alleviate the issue of someone sitting outside your room.

Su Casa is a great place to stay if you travel to Medillin, Colombia. Serena and Jonna are the two hostesses and they are wonderful and helpful. I give Su Casa my highest recommendation. It is close to the metro and walking distance to restaurants. Jonna and Serena are very helpful and make delicious breakfasts. They are willing to answer any questions you have and go out of their way to make sure you have a wonderful experience in their city. They are bilingual in English and Spanish.

Room Tip: Some rooms have shared baths and others have their own baths.

Spent several days at Su Casa with my sister. Upon arrival we were taken away by the rolling hills and mountains that were Medellin. As we approached closer to Su Casa we realized that we would be spending our time in a nice residential town on the outskirts of Medellin. When we arrived we were pleasantly greeted by yours truly Noah & Marcela. It was at a time when they were having there farewell party for the soon departure to Chicago. Following soon after we were introduced to the next in line to take over day to day operations of Su Casa Serena & Gianna who were very on point and eager to teach you and show you the many aspects that Medellin has to offer. As the Days went on from the tour of the City to the ones on the outer perimeter of Medellin we had an amazing fulfilled time while staying at Su Casa. Fantastic customer service with great food hospitality and great recommendations of the city you can not go wrong :) :)
You will forever be apart of my memories to Colombia especially to Medellin!! Thank you again Marcela, Noah, Serena and Gianna :)
