We ended up in the Nueva Enoteca because our favorite restaurant was booked out that night. The setting is not too bad, in particular if you arrive with two families and a number of kids. Friendliness of staff was also quite OK. The startling thing were the prices in relation to what you obtained, in particular to other good restaurants in Cartagena. Whereas the pizzas were just overpriced but actually quite good, the pasta on the other hand was overpriced with quite small quantities (8 raviolis for COP 34'000 without IVA and service charge) and limited quality. In particular for European visitors who are used to native Italian pasta, the experience was not really overwhelming. We left the restaurant with the feeling of having been ripped off, in particular if you compare the price-value to other place in Cartagena.

The lady working at our hotel recommended this place and we were very happy. We arrived right after it had stormed, so the courtyard area was wet and there were some leaves, etc, which had come down during the storm. The tables around the perimeter of the courtyard have coverings above to protect from both the sun and rain. They told us upon arrival that there were only serving pizza that night - not sure if that was due to the storm or not. We enjoyed an order of bruchetta which was delish, and a pizza, which we both loved. Service was great, owner is from Italy so they have a nice wine selection. We enjoyed a bottle of Malbec which was excellent. Prices are reasonable and service was good.

We really wanted pizza, so we stopped here because it looked kind of cute, and it had air conditioning. I ordered a glass of wine by the glass since my husband doesn't drink and they served me a glass of turpentine! At least that's what it tasted like it was so old. We ordered the Capresse salad, surprisingly it wasn't bad. We also had pizza which was very thin almost like a cracker really not that amazing. However when we ordered dessert my husband was served a tiramisu that was completely spoiled! Just a few bites and he was up all night and sick. I would not go back to this restaurant, I would not recommend it to anyone. The meal was about US$50 and very disappointing.

Four of us stopped here after visiting the museum of modern art. We were quite warm after walking in the hot sun so the waiter cooled us be seating us in the crossflow from three large fans. We had four delicious pizzas and cold Aguilas and enjoyed everything thoroughly. The serving staff were friendly and attentive.
