Our son and daughter-in-law had their wedding at the Casa Hotel Boutique Spa. It was a wonderful event, everythng was taken care of down to the last detail. The hotel is gorgeous and the venue is out of a fairytale. It is clean, spacious and plenty of room to have a good time and located very close to all restaurants and activities in the walled city. They made their wedding into a 4 day event. There were 76 people (friends and relatives alike). The wedding was planned by the wedding planner, Catalina Morales, with Eleganza Bodas and Events. Each of the nights that we were there were planned by the bride and groom. The first night we all met at the old wall and had drinks and then rented the 'party bus' for a ride (and lots of booze) around the city. The second night my husband and I were in charge of the rehearsal dinner.
It was held at VERA restaurant, just a few blocks away from where we all were staying. VERA restaurant is located in Tcherassi Hotel. It is an excellent restaurant with a beautiful setting and out-of-sight food. The third night was the wedding - you actually feel like you are on a movie set or that you are royalty or something. The Hotel Pestagua is fabulous. The days were spent sight-seeing, walking the streets or taking a boat to one of the islands where the water is crystal blue and snorkling is marvelous. My husband and I stayed in Cartagena for 9 days and throughly enjoyed ourselves. Everything is close, the people go out of there way to help. Just beware of the hawkers. They are only trying to make a living.
