“Casa la Fe Fan!”
Reviewed March 4, 2012

We recently stayed at Casa la Fe for the second time in less than 2 years. Cartagena is a magical city with so much to discover and do from the walled old town to the Islas del Rosario. The Hotel staff were unbelievably helpful accommodating our group (we were 14 people total) and they knew exactly which excursions would fit the group dynamic best and which restaurants would be best fit to a group of our size. Fredy who works in reception is truly the man and he will make sure that your stay at Casa la Fe as unbelievable as can be.

The hotel is in a perfect location and the intimacy it provides to its guests really goes above and beyond what one would expect of a boutique hotel. I cannot express enough how much I would recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Cartagena and really feel the spirit of Garcia Marquez's Colombia.

Room Tip: The rooms with a balcony have high ceilings and are incredibly romantic!

We are obviously delighted to receive this five star report but must clarify that not all the balcony rooms have high ceilings. Specifically room 301 and 302 (Standard Queen), room 305 (Balcony Twin) and room 306 (Balcony family) have the high ceilings. Also We are promoting the Islas Rosarios in March and April by offering free boat transportation, excl of taxes. So take advantage, book now!

We recently visited Cartegena and stayed at this small hotel. We had a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the square. Breakfast was delicious each morning and the staff uniformly pleasant and very helpful. We particularly appreciated Freddie, the concierge's, assistance with our plans for visiting the City and the surrounding area. Wonderful trip, great hotel and very happy to recommend it to all.

Room Tip: I would opt for the second or third floors and definitely request a balcony room.

This hotel is in a great location in Cartagena's walled city, within walking distance to all of the city's historic attractions. The hotel was clean, had air conditioning and a small but nice rooftop pool. There is a nice courtyard garden in the lobby which is also where breakfast is served. Breakfast was included with our daily rate. There is a nice restaurant that opens for dinner next door called FM. Cons: The hotel walls were very thin, you could hear people talking in the hallways and you cannot sleep in because they serve breakfast in the courtyard so you can hear everything. The beds were also very hard, not comfortable. The safe in the room also did not work well.

Overall, we had a good experience at this hotel and felt it was a good value.

Room Tip: Try to get a room on the 3rd floor it is a little more quiet and the room appeared larger because of...

We stayed 5 nights and loved it here. The staff at Casa Le Fe was great. Extremely helpful with suggestions of places to go and setting up day trips. Gloria and Freddy made it feel like a family atmosphere and always made sure that we had what we needed. The rooms were clean and breakfast was great. The location was great, walking distance to many restaurants and shopping. I would highly recommend this place and plan on coming back when I return.

Room Tip: If you have three people, try to get the room with the balcony. it gives a great view of the square...

We stayed one night at Casa La Fe on Feb 5 and it was a wonderful place to stay in the old city. The room was clean and well kept. The breakfast was very good. The square just out the hotel was a vibrant and entertaining place for a relaxing drink. Overall i would go back to Casa La Fe in a second and would highly recommend this hotel

We stayed 2 nights in Casa La Fe and enjoyed the stay very much. They staff is super nice and helpful in planning tours and making arrangements. The rooms are clean and the hotel is well kept. The beds are a little hard.

The breakfast was really good and included with the room. The small pool on the roof was great for cooling off on the 90 degree days.

This hotel is centrally located inside the walls of the Old City. It offers free use of the bikes for touring around the area. There was tons of restaurants within 45 seconds of the hotel. Free wifi. The hotel staff will provide a map of places to visit.

Overall a good choice. It is also one of the least expensive places inside the Old city. We paid about $165 per night when all other places were around $300.
