I walk to the Old City almost every weeken and my first stop is almost always Plaza Bolivar. Its usely busy with locals and a few touristas passing through. Some 100 years old pam trees male shay and cool. A visitor can purchase a fruit salad and water or beer from local vendors. Corn can be purchased from a local vendor to feed the pigions. There are many park benches in side the park to enjoy the crowd and birds or outside the park to relax away from the crowds. This park is a nice place to relax after walking in the old city.

the location is great the views are nice, the emerald sellers are a minus, but not to annoying. If you understand Spanish, it might be worthwhile to listen to a story teller in the center of the square

Busy, noisy, attractive, the heart of the city. We enjoyed seeing people come and go around the statue of Bolvar

nice place to stay for a while, to rest sitting hearing the fountains, lots of doves in the ground. Next to the gold museum and other cultural interest places

A bit touristy and full of touts. Suggest doing the Segway tour, see plenty and can escape form the touts quickly!
