“Excellent place to spend a few hours. Great Views of the Old City”
Reviewed June 28, 2013

We were there in late june. The walk is very easy, the pathways pretty even. Bring a small flashlight, as the tunnels are quite dark, which is fun, but sometimes you may want to see where you are going. We did encounter a couple of bats down one tunnel, but only one tunnel. They were harmless. We went past lots of touts and sellers, but none of them was pushy. You don't need water, even in 90 degree weather, and if you speak spanish, you should not miss the movie in the "hospital" up top to get a clearer picture of the fort and its reason for being. We don't speak spanish, but the movie was good and it is air conditioned. (about 15 minutes long) There is a very clean restroom at the top with a sink, water, and soap!!!!!!

“Interesting with a guide, take water!!”
Reviewed June 27, 2013

In the heat, the castle walls magnify the temperature. It was interesting to see but a guide made it much more than a pile of stones. Definitely a place to visit but the heat was oppressive so make sure you take lots of water. Or take an umbrella to keep off the sun and fend off the hawkers on the way in and out of the attraction

“Nice”
Reviewed June 20, 2013

The audio tour is very good and you can make it longer because it has the option to listen to more information. The map is good but sadly the numbers are not placed at the spots (!) You can buy fresh lemonade inside the castle (The vendors outside will tell you no beverages can be purchased inside...not true!)

“don't miss this place”
Reviewed June 10, 2013

Definitely you should go to this place. The entrance fee is not that expensive. The view is great. It's walking distance from the walled city.
