I stayed in a room with private bathroom. Although the bathroom is small, it is clean. The room was spacious and clean. The staff is helpful and friendly. The common areas look cool. We had dinner once in the hostel and the food was delicious. The location is really good - Getsemaní is a neighbourhood with nice restaurants and bars to hang out and Cartagena's historic center is just 3 blocks away from the hostel.

I spent this past June and July in Medellin, and when I took a long weekend to Cartagena, I couldn't have picked a better place to stay. I met some great friends from staying at the hospital. The pancakes in the morning were delicious. The owner's pets were very friendly, and who doesn't miss their own pets when traveling, so it was awesome to have them there. The rest of the staff was very helpful and easy to talk to. Also loved the bar next door. It's in a great location, has comfortable beds, and very affordable. I would recommend staying here for anyone looking to get a good night's sleep and still have the opportunity to meet people and have a good time!

The location is in old town of Cartagena that is a great place to start your stay here. Good WiFi and local food, everything within walking distance except the bus terminal to leave town, that you need a taxi. Be sure to take in the Mud Volcano, you get pick up and returned right in front of the hostel.
