If not for anything else, it is worth visiting this church as the oldest in the city.

But it is a gorgeous, well preserved old church in the old area of the city. The whole area is very touristy and best experience on foot.

The statue of a fat woman by Fernando Botero is within walking distance. Tourists just love this statue and we also took several pictures by it.

Quick tip: Cartagena can be very hot, I strongly recommend hats, use of sunscreen, sun glasses and water to keep hydrated

I went recently to a friend's wedding and this church was gorgeous. The ceremony was given in both languages (English and Spanish) for the convenience of all guests. You should come to this place if you plan to get married in Cartagena. It is beautiful!

Good to go and spend 20 min max watching the Vallenato baskers going around the tables.Quality of food is cheap and no colombian.Made purely for tourists/gringos.
Also you cannot chill as literally every minutes you get another basker hasling you or other vendors.
Nice to walk during the days and early evening. You will capture a few good pictures.
