“great spot for fishlovers, go at lunchtime”
Reviewed April 19, 2013

Little hidden gem, not a single tourist in sight. In fact, Sunday lunchtime turned out to be the meeting place of the mooring yacht owners and their families, which contributed to a somewhat peculiar ambience (in a good way). Really good fish, as expected. The best cazuela de mariscos in town, mero with marinera sauce amazing and super fresh too. Sensible wine list.

The place was very busy so the service wasn't particularly worth a praise, a bit slow but efficient.

Mind, it's no cheaper than the 'famous' old town establishments, even though it's away from the walled city. I suppose it's aimed at the marina crowd.. Worth the walk though, any fish lover will appreciate the 'Chef'!

Check the opening times and go for lunch, you want to be able to appreciate the setting in the daylight.

“You will be surprised!”
Reviewed October 8, 2012

The place could not promise much...and you might struggle to find it...but once you enter you can go through the place and get to the pier and enjoy the sea air. Once you get your food be ready to get your mind blown. Sea food, simple or sophisticated with a wonderful taste and presentation

“Great seafood, unique setting, no tourists”
Reviewed September 2, 2012

For those wanting to escape to a rare tourist-free restaurant within walking distance of the walled city, this is something to think about.

Walk toward Bocagrande and you will find an Esso gas station, Todomar pier, and the fire station. Tucked behind all that is this little establishment serving a fine line-up of local seafood.

The servings are substantial, so one can actually share the fish dishes. Service is also attentive. Owner was there, so one can see he keeps a watchful eye.

No tourists here. An enjoyable experience.

“It is worth to find this hidden gem....!”
Reviewed August 2, 2012

A different restaurant with a great setting at Marina Todomar Yachtclub. It is not easy to find as it is located on the back of the Esso gas station at the Bocagrande entrance. Excelent grouper (mero)...fresh and tasty....good ceviche, nice ambiance inside or outside. Do not miss the terrace on the second floor with a awesome view of the Old City.....with a glass of wine....very romantic! El Yoyi Otero, the owner, is a friendly local and the staff is very attentive. It is not a touristic spot but you will find lots of locals for lunch or dinner, they know what is best in Cartagena!
