My husband and I came here for sunset drinks. It was a nice, breezy afternoon and we were quickly seated at one of the tables near the wall. As we were sipping our ($10) cocktails, a sudden gust came up and knocked a menu from another table directly into our drinks, sending them flying. The glasses were emptied into our laps, covering us both with sticky alcohol.
The staff didn't seem to be too concerned that we were now wearing our drinks. We eventually flagged down someone to bring napkins and tried to tidy up. After all, it was their menu that hit us -- not like we were intentionally knocking down our drinks! We ordered two more cocktails to replace the ones dripping down our pants and enjoyed the rest of the sunset.
When the bill came, we were charged for 4 drinks. We tried to explain what had happened (wind... spill... mess) to the waitress but our spanish was choppy and she didn't speak English. After 4 different waitresses came over, eventually a manager came and tried to make us pay the full amount. We argued with him for about 15 minutes in broken spanish before he took off two of the drinks from the bill.
I was surprised that no one spoke even a little english, and that their service was so poor. For the prices they charge, they could at least pretend to care about customers.
Enjoy the view, and watch out for flying menus!
