Location is wonderful, very close some historical places, shopping and restaurants.
Hotel"s manager and the other personal are very kind, friendly and sympathetic.
Staff are elegant,appertaining and helpful.
Atmosphere is excellent
Rooms are big and clean
I stayed five days i am sure i will go again
I strongly recommend this hotel.Cartagena is lovely town and Unesco is conservancy this town.
Outside is safe i didn't see any bad behaved. Also first day one staff of the hotel was with us.He wanted help us to go outside for have fan.Hotel also not far from the beach. But beach was not clean for us. We went to Baila beach which is one our from Cartagena.
I would like to thanks the hotel staff; because they arranged transportation to the beach.
There are nice restaurant around the hotel, they can recommend you which is good but you should check trip adviser one more time. The whether was very hot when i was there. After visiting some heritage, historical places or some where, i was find myself in the hotels lovely swimming pool. There are massage places near the pool. You can have a massage there or in your room.
I travel a lot.I always use booking com and trip adviser. After Cartagena i went to Punto Cana. But
i can't say same thing for punt cana.Because hotel was so so big.I don't like very big and crowded hotels.
I would like to thank again all hotel personal

Just gorgeous! The other positive reviews hit the nail on the head, we loved this hotel, but I'd like to offer some warnings. We took the bikes out to El Castillo de San Felipe (the only way to go unless traveling by auto) and the chain on my husband's bike came off twice (once at a crucial point and he ended up ripping his shorts!), they handed us helmets that were extremely small (for safety) which we did not wear (it's HOT here and there's no way they could sufficiently clean these helmets to satisfy me) and the tires definitely needed air. The reviews that mentioned a lack of hot water were accurate but we didn't mind since its so HOT here. We enjoyed the close proximity to the restaurant Carmen (#1 restaurant according to Trip Advisor-top notch meal!), a yummy gelato place, Gelateria Paradiso and a fabulous lunch spot the locals seem to really love, El Restaurante Espiritu Santo. I have to say, we always stay in pretty nice hotels, but hardly spend time in them because we're always on the go, but this hotel made us want to stay by the pool, sipping Cuba Libres and posting reviews of our wonderful stay on Trip Advisor!

There is not much to be said: a beautiful and chilled place, friendly personnel and elegant and clean rooms. The location couldn't be better. They have bikes for rent, and the morning hours are perfect for that. Them chill at the pool for breakfast. But beware of the mosquitoes there. It seems that the hotel couold spray more often, and we got some nasty bites there.

We spent four nights here on our honeymoon, encouraged by the near perfect trip advisor reviews! We were not disappointed. Arriving in hot, hot Cartagena after a six hour bus trip we were warmly welcomed, and led to a beautifully cool, lemon scented room and we couldn't believe our luck. The service is excellent, the rooms are beautiful, the pool is gorgeous, breakfast excellent. A fab retreat from the heat of Cartagena. We genuinely might go back! Highly, highly recommended.

Unfortunately we had only one night at this wonderful hotel. The building itself is ancient and beautiful, oozing history, and although furniture and decorations are modern, they do not clash and the style is simple and elegant. We were served a delicious breakfast and the staff were wonderful. All in all, top ratings for this gem of a hotel.

What a lovely place and so convenient in the middle of the old town.
Booked a twin room, but on arrival there was no twin room available, but so kind, the hotel gave us two separate rooms without any extra costs.
Brilliant rooms spacious and lovely walk-in shower.
Entering the hotel it reminded me of an old roman atrium with the swimming pool in the middle and all the flowers around, a very special place.
Do not forget to visit the roof, beautiful views over the town.
The staff was extremely kind, very helpful and breakfast very tasty.

Great location, service, facility. However, given the market, it is very overpriced by a factor of two.

Beware of the room types, we didn't see any differences other than price.

We came considering the possibility of a quick dive but the consolidation of the shops has driven the prices up. The shops also weren't very flexible so we'll take that into account through advanced planning for our next trip up there.
