Stayed here for three days during our honeymoon and we really enjoyed our stay. The best part was the great staff who greeted us with a welcome drink and always helped with any requests during our stay. Your breakfast is included and each morning you get to choose from a menu and it is delicious. We enjoyed the bikes that the hotel has for use, which allowed us to ride down the wall to beach portion of Cartagena.

The rooms are spacious with vaulted ceilings and a great decor. We loved our room but unfortunately just across the street from the deck is a hostel. The hostel was not an issue, we were never disturbed by it, however it just made it awkward if we were ever on the deck.

The front door is a buzzer to get in, do not be alarmed by this, it just another nice security feature of the hotel that allowed us to sleep better at night.

The only reason I would not stay here again is the location is at the top end of the old town, so its about a fifteen minute walk each time you leave to explore and find one of the great local restaurants. There is a grocery store about three blocks away though,

Stayed at this hotel as a romantic getaway and was pleased but but not overly. Seems like a small (maybe 7 rooms) boutique that caters to older tourists. Its location is good, a couple blocks from the hustle and bustle so you don't hear the noise at night. Very quiet at all times; and we woke up the people working each night when we came in (around 10:30) which kind of made us feel guilty (they manually have to let you in). Wifi was ok, but not great. Shower was terrible and it was ridiculous to get hot water, and then keep it hot when you did get it. It fluctuated widely. Nice sized room, think french country, and direct tv. The security box was broken, which they had to come and fix, and half the wall sockets did not work (including the one with the alarm clock and lamp. So we had light in half the room, and had to try various sockets to plug in the computer (they never fixed this). All in all, nice boutique but water variations in shower and lack of power in half the place was a pain in the rear end. Need to fix this up as these are basic things. Good breakfast that was included, but let my coffee sit without filling it (even though I asked three times). Seems like a sleepy place, which has equated into a bit of a lazy staff that kind of lives there vice works there. They are friendly though which is a good thing. Pool is small as well and not really some place you want to be.

Very nice hotel could even be said that its one of the best boutique hotels in cartagena' nice rooms and good breakfast BUT we had fleas in our room and ended up both getting a horrible rash from all the bites! We told the hotel and they sent us a clueless doctor who said we had allergies(somehow at once) then they gave us bug spray and that was that.... they need to get their cleanliness issues sorted to become a great hotel! Also they need lights and mirrors in the rooms.

Casa Quero is small -- seven rooms, I think -- and well located in the San Diego neighborhood of the old city. Friendly staff, comfortable room (I had a junior suite), lots of public spaces (including a delightful roof deck and tiny pool), decent if unexciting breakfasts.

Cartagena can be hot and noisy, and Casa Quero met both challenges perfectly. The room was so well protected from the hear that I only needed to use the air conditioning for a few minutes when I came in; after that, the fan alone kept things cool. And you could hardly hear a sound from the street or the other guests. Recommended!

This hotel really reflected the spirit of the original home. The furnishings were so tasteful & the ambience was so Cartagena. The courtyard as well as the entire hotel had lush gardens & beautiful flowers. And we had so much fun with their resident toucan.
I cannot say enough about the staff. They were attentive without being intrusive. They went the extra mile for whatever we requested (tours, taxis, service, changing $). I felt like I was staying at a family member's home where they spoiled me with all the niceties I could want.
The rooftop pool was such a nice getaway after a day of touring & the view was fantastic.

Room Tip: there was no fitness center
