“Expensive”
Reviewed September 8, 2013

This restaurant was disappointingly expensive. We were very excited to get some Colombian ceviche for lunch, but seeing the menu, we could not actually afford the ceviche so we didn't even end up getting any. We settled for "sandwiches" - the sicilian and the eggplant which were actually just some eggplant and tomato smeared around on a piece of pita bread - so it actually looked like a small pizza - and this was for $10 each. We got the michelada beers which were good (a beer with salt on the rim and lime juice in the bottom). The ceviche LOOKED good, but a small bowl for $15-$20 was just a bit too much - though looking back, if I knew how crappy the sandwich was going to be, I would have just splurged on the small ceviche and gotten snacks at the grocery store to fill up on after. Service was so-so, we had to ask for the check several times, and then they gave us the wrong bill.
Overall - pretty disappointed :(

“Octopus never tasted so good”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

Located in El Centro district the "pulpo" aka Octopus warm salad was a delicious blend of flavors. The primary being the octopus it was tender and tasty with liberal amounts of shrimp and accessories. Only negative is that it is pricey and with a little spanish and due diligence the same quailty and flavor can be sampled be asking the locals.

“Welcome lunch stopover - good food”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

Very small with just three/four tables outside (don't know about the inside), but a great place to stop either just for a drink or lunch. Coconut rice paella was excellent, as was whatever I had the second time we went which was a great hot prawn dish with rice. Reasonably priced - we paid around $30 for two, for a dish each plus drinks.

“Great casual little place to chill”
Reviewed September 2, 2013

La cevicheria is a great place to have a cold drink, a refreshing plate of ceviche (a must from colombian cuisine.) Food is good and service fast. The place is not fancy at all but if you manage to get a table outside you may enjoy to see and experience cartagenas street life. It is a bit over priced but good enough to be the only restaurant where we ate twice in cartagena.

“Skip this place”
Reviewed August 28, 2013 via mobile

Poor ambience and lack of value not withstanding, the food was just not that great...

Was also annoyed they went straight to the most expensive item when you asked for a cerviche recommendation.
