I wish I had glowing reviews for this rental, but we paid $5265 USD for 5 nights in house that was described as "stunning," but was so beat up that it wasn't impressive whatsoever. I've had the privilege of staying in a lot of luxurious properties, but this was probably the biggest disappointment. We didn't have hot water for the first 3 days, despite them saying they were fixing it, which was really frustrating for 3 women. The plants in the home were dying, the furniture was beat up and missing cushions, the surfaces were dingy, the rooftop hot tub was never hot, there wasn't any place to plug in and listen to music off of our devices, the street noise was horrible in the master bedroom and the bedroom beneath it on the first floor, the air conditioning broke in the rear room on the second night, and a laundry list of other issues.
Maria was very nice and her cooking was fine, but nothing remarkable. We opted not to have her cook our breakfast the last couple days and enjoy local cuisine elsewhere instead. The "butler" acted as though everything, from getting cold medicine to picking up soap, was a major chore. He didn't appear to be happy to accommodate us the entire time...until we tipped them $100 at the end of the trip.
