Good location,by the pedestrian street, very convenient. Staff doesn't speck a lot English,But they are very friendly, welling to help everything. The room was comfy, roomy, has a huge bathroom. Breakfast have pretty of choose, either western and chinese. Our big plan was see panda, I heard that the good time to see the pandas was in the morning ,But the concierge told me that anytime was good time. Then we went there at noon, lots pandas were sleeping, little disappointed, but we saw the baby pandas,so sooooo cute…..We had a nice stayed there, will recommend to friends.

We stayed here 4 nights in December. Great location in the middle of the city centre, very good for shopping and lots of restaurant around it. The room was large and clean, modern asian decoration. Fantastic bathroom and love the shower. All amenitities were daily replaced. The hotel is connected to the shopping mall, which made is convenient to access. There are a lot of construction going on in Chengdu.

Check in went pretty quickly, although the staff were a bit grumpy. However, the concierge was friendly helped us by calling a taxi which drove us to the panda breeding and research centre. Check out went smoothly.

Would definitely, stay here again!

We're on our honeymoon and the wife demanded a side trip to visit the pandas in chengdu. Stayed one night and booked the haiyatt just hoping to get a decent place to sleep. Pleasantly surprised, the location is amazing for shopping, as has been pointed out by other reviewers. Huge pedestrian area with several malls and every store you could think of right outside. There's construction everywhere in chengdu (in all China really) and several new buildings are going up near the hotel. Couldn't hear any noise in our room despite this.

We arrived early in the morning, and were able to check in at around 10am, with our room ready by the time we finished the paper work. Room is reasonable size and clean, good bathroom and shower. We had only one breakfast included in our package, so were asked if we wanted to add a second... for 30 RMB ($5 AUD)! For the price the breakfast is good, a standard mix of western/eastern you get at most hotels. We had dinner at the attached restaurant, which is actually in the next door plaza, and it was reasonably priced with good food. We chickened out of the spicy sichuan stuff. Wifi is free and decent speed.

Chengdu is a bit odd in that we saw more western names on stores and heard more top 40 western music in them than almost anywhere else, including shanghai, but almost no one speaks english. Not their issue - I don't speak mandarin and it's their city - but it is a little odd. We couldn't get room service to the room and couldn't use the pillow menu as no one understood a word of english. Also had some confusion at reception checking out, neither of the desk staff could explain a charge on our bill, and someone had to be called up to explain. The staff do try exceptionally hard, and the porters wear ridiculously oversized hats, so patience wins here.

A great place for a quick visit to see the pandas (and even the giant buddha in leshan) and I would stay here for that purpose again. If I was going to stay longer though, I'd probably try to find a place where the staff were more used to western guests.

Clean, modern hotel. The room had so many lights, such as lighting walls, that it was hard to use.

Located on the same block as two Japanese department stores, both with supermarkets and restaurants in the basement. We walked to a Sichuan opera.

I booked this hotel with little expectation but was pleasantly surprised by the design of the rooms. The layout was good. The way the bathroom doors open and flush against the wall panels behind was clever. So was the way the bin was nicely hidden/tucked away in a cabinet under the desk. A fruit platter of apples and banana awaited us too.

We had buffet dinner at the Prima Court Cafe. The spread was adequate and reasonable in price. However I noticed some desserts leftover from previous night's dinner buffet were recycled at the following morning's breakfast buffet.

Location is excellent - right in the centre of town and next to Isetan, the Japanese shopping mall and many other shops.

My main complaints are the service. Service at the Prima Court cafe was slow for those eating a la cart dinner. The buffet was easier - all the food was there and ready to be eaten. We booked 2 rooms for my family but the receptionist wanted to put us on 2 different floors which I protested as I booked a long time ago and they knew we were arriving. After pointing out my dissatification, the receptionist then gave us rooms that were side by side and I found out she had to make changes to rooms pre-allocated to a tour group who had yet to arrive.

I am under the impression that a particular concierge staff dressed in white was colluding with a taxi driver on how much to charge the guests on trips to hotels/Panda centres. Speak to the concierge staff in black. I think he is the manager (?). Anyway, be careful when you use the taxis parked outside the hotel. The drivers are out to fleece you. Confirm your rate with the concierge manager beforehand.

Was very happy with this hotel where I stayed 2 nights prior to embarking on a Habitat for Humanity trip in Sichuan. Hotel staff speaks little English, but thankfully my Chinese was sufficient to convey most basic requests. Service was good for China standards (i.e. not being ignored or frowned upon is already a bonus in China). Rooms were comfortable although the fact that the bedroom and the bathroom is separated by a glass enclosed shower (with no drop down curtain or anything) means that rooms are only suitable for couples or solo travellers (or parents who don't mind showering naked in front of their kids). The location is top notch, right by Chunxi Rd shopping area so there are a lot of food options nearby (including Long Chao Shou, a sit down spot that specializes on Sichuanese snacks). There is also a spa in the hotel where I got a foot massage (RMB108). A great option at the end of a long day of touring given there aren't any massage places near the Chunxi Rd area.

Extremely convenient hotel for the centre of Chengdu with well appointed, comfortable and above all for China, clean rooms.
Good sized bathroom with full facilities. Well priced and varied room service menu and extremely good breakfast in the main restaurant. The staff were all invariably polite and helpful, the hotel management should be very proud of them. Having stayed in many hotels around China we made a real point of praising the housekeeping staff looking after our room - at last, a lady who knows how to clean a hotel room properly!
We would not consider staying in any other hotel when visiting Chengdu in the future.

Room Tip: We stayed on the 11th. floor in a standard room. I have been told not to bother with the Japanese-st...
