I really liked this hostel. We had a twin room on the second floor which was basic and clean and had firm but comfortable beds. The communal showers were fine. Good pressure and hot.
There was a bar/restaurant downstairs which did good food. Wi-fi was free and was not bad but normally only available in the common area.
The hostel collected us from the airport for a fair price although it would have been cheaper for us to take a taxi.
Landy on the travel desk was fantastic. She organised some bus tickets for us and even tried to make a day trip that only usually runs once a week happen for us.
Location wise it's fine - about 5 minutes walk from the Wenshu Temple and a good 10 minute walk to the nearest metro stations.
We went to see the pandas on a hostel tour which was very good - the driver actually took us round the whole panda park. This was useful as I think if we'd have been by ourselves we would have just spent ages in one spot and missed lots of action. (The pandas generally don't move much in the afternoon so it's worth trying to see them all before they go to sleep. The queues when we were leaving around 12pm were huge too!)
