I stayed in the family room for 1 week, with my wife and my two kids. Excellent value for the money paid. Room clean and large enough. Bath room ok with some light smell of cigarettes smoke due to the air conditioning. Wireless ok but not perfect. Staff at the reception speak some english... Enough to understand each other. Location very convenient.
Stayed for five days in March 2013 and was perfectly satisfied for the rmb200/night I paid Walk out of the hotel turn right to the major road junction, turn right again and within 5mins you will see Chunxi pedestrian walk to your left. Cross over by using the pedestrian bridge. Turn left from the hotel turn a small roadway and you will see lots of food stalls. Its also about rmb10 cab drive to Xinnamen bus station for your bus rides out of Chengdu. Book in advance for Jiuzhaigou but for Leshan I booked on the spot.
Rooms are small, basic but clean and no overwhelming unpleasant smells. TV with a lot of Chinese channels. Can refill drinking water just outside the lift downstairs water dispenser.Staff are quite smiley and they kept my luggage for 3 days while I was in Jiuzhaigou, without any complaint.
Taxi from airport about rmb50 max should be rmb60
Good location, clean room, surrounding by shop/restaurant/shopping mall, wifi available in the room, but not much choice for the breakfast especially for moslem like us. But, overall is OK.
IMHO, the staffs should be trained English Language, because the guest hotel not only coming from china. It's very difficult to talk to the staff we need or ask something.
I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. I booked the cheap room (200 rmb/night) for 3 nights, then left for a short trip and came back for another 2 nights. The hotel staff were very friendly and kept our bags while we were gone (this was no small feat -- we had to very large suitcases plus two bikes).
Our first room was quite large but very dark. The window was in the corner and faced into an interior hallway. The second room we stayed in was smaller but brighter. The window still did not face outside.
The bed was soft and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and the shower had good water pressure.
I would recommend this hotel for someone looking for a cheap, clean and well-located place to stay. There is a subway not too far from the hotel and a starbucks a few blocks away. I did not speak to the staff in English, so can't comment on that.
First time in Chengdu.
This is a brand new hotel, now at promotion rate of RMB 199/ night. The room is clean and tidy, though the towels shown a bit of fading white. Everything is new, but not sure what would it be like a few years down the road. Free wi-fi in room and lobby. And buffet breakfast is RMB 24. Receptionists at front desk are youngsters who are helpful but I didn't test their English.
The hotel is located right in the city centre, just 2-3 minute walk from all the big department stores and the Chunxi Road Predestrian Precint, with many shops and restaurants. Overall, very good value for money, especially when it is new. Very OK for one night stay, and strongly recommended to fellow travellers.
My room's windows are facing inside and there is no view.
