I stayed here in May 20I3. Guest rooms are fantastic. Meeting rooms are very nice. Hotel was not busy (or at least didn't seem so) - an oasis of peace in a busy city. We didnt have lunch or dinner at teh hotel but the breakfast buffet was great.

I stayed at the hotel for three nights in November 2013. The porter was available to help me with my luggage but ok.I arrived the evening at about 22h30 from the airport and was flat. Upon my arrival the was a booking problem from my office side but I accepted the room the offered as I needed a bath and a sleep. The receptionist speaks well English and was of great help. A rude man tried to interrupt my booking and the receptionist sorted him out nice and properly after the third interruption, well done to her. My room was 3381. I got to my room and I was surprised as it was more than I expected. The rooms are luxurious and spacious, all amenities that you could require and good coffee from a impressive coffee machine is there with compliments. two cappuccinos coming up. The bar fridge is well stocked and light snacks are available. Internet is free and fast. Breakfast was excellent as it is one of the important things in my life, food. I didn't visit any of the facilities the hotel offered. There are very upmarket shops open almost 24/7. The Bamboo Garden Restaurant offered the best food I eat on my entire trips to China. Japanese sushi, Stir Fry, Western dishes well prepared, American food, Kentucky style chicken, seafood, Chinese dishes, desserts, pastries, tartlets, juices, salads. Excellent. The waiters are helpful and speak fair English. Great.Recommend

Room Tip: Maybe try a room in Renmin street with a better view perhaps but then noise might be a problem. Go a...

There is an old wing and a new wing to this hotel and one needs a guide to negotiate one's way around the hotel. I had a room in the new wing (VIP wing) which was very nice, similar to a room in a Fairmont. I stayed here for a conference so had to try to locate various meeting rooms and restaurants. The staff are very friendly, and are posted throughout the hotel to try to guide you to your destination. Unfortunately, their level of competence in English, practically at every level in the hotel, is not at the same level as other major centres in China. Their friendliness, and desire to assist almost overcomes the problem but it can be frustrating. The restaurants are okay, but the one that offers the buffet seems poorly organized. When you see the amount of food that must go to waste each day, it is startling. The gym is poorly equipped and a disappointment for such a major hotel. If they want to attract North American customers, they need to up their game.

Room Tip: I would recommend the VIP wing.

I had stayed in many 5 stars hotels in Chengdu before. The VIP wing of Jinjiang Hotel is one of the best hotel in Chengdu, better than Shangri-la Chengdu or Sofitel. The room is big. And most important thing is mini bar is free!! Free WIFI for all rooms. The swimming pool is big. The location is not bad, just near the Jinjiang river. It cost RMB 45 to take a taxi to get airport.

I recently stayed at the JinJian Hotel for a major international conference. The lobby and rooms are both quite nice. Wireless internet worked most of the time in my room, but some of my colleagues couldn't get any reception. The gym was decent and the swimming pool looked fairly good. My biggest complaint with this place was the number of prostitutes. I was woken up at 3am by a woman ringing my doorbell. Unfortunately the doorbell in the rooms is incredibly loud so there is no way to ignore it. I was also propositioned twice in the halls (Did I mention this was in the midst of a major conference?). Overall I think the hotel is fine, but it really wouldn't be my first choice in the city.
