The Lasony also seems to do business as Upzone apartments. The building is centrally located in Chengdu, very near to Renmin Park and 10 minutes walking distance to Tianfu square.
It's not really an apartment but a rather small hotel room with a kitchenette and a washing machine. The former is pretty useless, since there are no plates or cups, the latter was great towards the end of our trip, although there is no line to hang your clothes to dry, so you need to use the hangers from the closet.
Compared to similar places this was quite clean (a bit of dust in hidden spaces) and the beds are very comfortable. It's great to be on the 23rd floor, which is above all the noise and the smog, so you can sleep with the windows open.
There is no wifi in the room, only at the reception, which is substandard, but given it's location the price is very reasonable. Unlike stated by other travelers, the reception did speak some English and was able to book a car to the airport for us at 80 RMB. There is no breakfast available, but Starbucks is 10 minutes walking distance and there is a nice market street next door where we ate Sichuan hotpot for dinner. Dirt cheap, very tasty and the ultimate spicy Sichuan food experience.More
