But with a lot more higher priced restaurants along the two streets. Some restaurants have their own shows, and also a few bars along the way. Reminds me a bit of Shanghai Xintiandi. Good place to kill an hour or two, or even have a meal there.

We had nothing planned so this was a good option. A bit overrated. Restaurants are too pricy. There are quite a variety of shops and stuff to see and it is indeed very lively

This street is basically the same as Jinli Street, also in Chengdu. The street had fallen into total disrepair, and has now been built back up to look like it did in its' glory. There are many restaurants, none of which had menus in English or picture menus and lots of shops. The shops were overpriced, things were very expensive here compared to regular Chinese shops, but this is an area catering to tourists, and much of what you would find in regular Chinese shops are things that you would not want to bring back home as a souvenir. As others have mentioned, there is a Starbucks, the menu is in English, and it has a western toilet (a rarity in China). If you have time to spare, this is worth a visit for a couple of hours, but Jinli Street is still more interesting. A lot of good photo opportunities on the street, whether the buildings are truly old or not.

It's definitely a tourist attraction but I would rather spend the time in People's Park watching all the dancing and singing and amateur shows.
